I think you might want to tone it down, just a bit. Apparently if you use that stuff TOO much, it will actually start to dry out your hands. I'd leave it at maybe doing it once a day, in the morning or at night. You shouldn't need more than that anyway to stay free of dry skin.

I dry up and blow away during the winter, being the delicate flower that I am, so i can say that you can moisturize as often as you like. It prevents moisture form evaporating, it soothes dry, cracked skin, it's fine.

However, what also helps a lot is to drink H20, which is the ultimate moisturizer, especially when taken internally.

I would say that you can never moisturize too often especially if you are a frequent hand washer. What happens to folks who work in hospitals who have to wash their hands frequently is that their skin gets chapped and starts breaking apart if it is not regularly moisterized. As a result, you will often see two containers side by side at a hospital with one being soap and one being lotion. You might want to invest in soap that does contain moisterizers so that you can kill two birds with one stone. Basically, ensuring that your skin is adequetely lubricated is a good thing.

my mom washes her hands alot, since she's a nurse. i found that if you nave too much moisture, your hands get soggy, and pruny, but that doesn't happen to me, unless i was really wet.

Soggy, pruny fingers are the result of too much H2O on the OUTSIDE. Most moisturizers are absorbed into the skin quickly, so they don't leave you pruny. The task is to find the 'right' mositurizer that works for you, and stick with it.
