i daydream alot, and i'm wondering. does your brain produce these thoughts without your control, or is it you doing it? i found that when i have bad thoughts, if i stop purposely thinking about them, i don't think about them anymore.

Sometimes I can't stop thinking about something, even if I try really hard...
That is when I feel like my brain is not part of me... 0.o

ZOMG finally what I've been trying to say, My brain thinks SO much on it's own. Even If I try tostop thinking about something bad, I can't stop. It's so annoying!

Usually these thoughts come from your subconscious so in a way you are thinking these thoughts but your not doing it consciously.

It's kind of a mix. Like LightxInxDarkness said, you're subconciously thinking something, but in more of a primitive manner. Simple, like a wooden block instead of a carving. Then your brain processes the thought and gives it form. Sometimes I think "where the hell did that come from" and it was just underlying thoughts forming in my mind.

well, your brain IS you, they're your thoughts!
The brain works 24/7, processing info and providing entertainment all the while. I think part of what it does is work out stuff that's 'on your mind', so those day dreams are probably related to stuff that your'e aware of, anyway, even if you're not purposely thinking about them.
