I'd like to admit myself, but whats the best way to get admist to the ward, im sure my injuries suffice (atm i have near 60cuts on my forearms/wrist.) Last time my mother admitted me via GP but im 18 now im my own man, yet the GP always takes like 5 days for an appointment. Shall i go straight to the psychiatric hospital?

I think it depends on the Hospital's admission policy. Give the admissions office a call and ask them.

Very often, if there is a recent injury of some kind (such as self inflicted cuts), the Psych hospital needs those to be properly treated first, so you might need to go to an ER first.

Call the Psych hospital, though, find out what their policy is.

You'd be better off if you did talk to a professional. Cutting is a serious issue and I feel as though it's almost addicting at one point. So for your own sake please tell your doctor.

I agree with calling them, if they think that you should be admitted I think they will admit you especially if you show them the cuts.
Good Luck!

Best to speak with your GP about it. Then they can help you decide if it really is the best course of action for you.

Do you feel really unsafe? In other words, do you feel that you are a big danger to yourself at the moment?
