Well today I was watching the kids I babysit, and they were playing on a playground. I got bored so I took out my phone and started going through the menus. I ended up to a screen where I had to put in a PUK number, but I had no idea what that was. I ended up just putting random numbers it, and then it wouldn't let me anymore.

Then it said "SIM is blocked." I can't make any calls, can't receive any, can't do anything. I have tried taking the SIM card out, taking the battery out, plugging the phone in the charger, everything.

It's a LGCG225, and I have TracFone service if that makes any difference.

I am hoping someone has the answers I need.

Usually when your phone asks you for a PUK number it means you have a lock on your sim card, and you've entered the code wrong too many times.

Now I have AT&T and when this happened to me all I did was call my customer service, talked to a friendly representative and he gave me a long but precise number I had to punch into my phone and then it worked again.

Your going to need to call customer service because your sim card will not work in any other phone now, just ask them for the PUK code for your phone and they should give it to you no questions asked. They will probably ask you a few questions to verify that it is actually your phone and ect.

I found this guide, before you call you should...

1) Write down the serial number of your phone.
2) Write down the pin number from the airtime card.

Here is the number to the customer service
1-800-867-7183
I'd advise calling on your home phone or someone elses cell phone.

Here are my sources if you wanna check it out http://ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Deal-with-Tracfone-Customer-Service&id=396452

Once i locked my phone, and my mom called customer service, and it turned out the code was the last 4 digits of my phone number.

Except i have Verizon, with (i think) no removable SIM card, and it was the phone that was locked.

If you can't figure it out, call customer service, or emailing TracFone

Actually your going to need a new sim card. The PUK code is the personal unlocking code, and you said you entered in random numbers. If you get it wrong 10 times your sim card will be permanently blocked and there isn't a solution for that.

--Sorry I hope you can get a new sim card without too much trouble.

A PUK Code is an 8 digit code that a person must use to unblock his phone. A phone is blocked when a person tries to enter a wrong PIN Code several times in a row. However, if this person repeatedly enters one wrong PUK Code after the other, his/her SIM-card will be permanently blocked. This means that he/she can't use his/her SIM-card anymore. He/she must buy a new SIM-card.

Yeah, you're gonna need a new SIM-card.

Thanks. I e-mailed TracFone and they are sending me a new one. They didn't say anything about a cost, which is good. Let's hope there isn't a bill with it.
