Ok just a second, now when I was the gym yesterday, I got a weight and height test, now honestly people, I'm a skinny guy! but my gut recently for no reason (yes I am still eating right and exercising regularly) has gotten all puff out and bloated but the rest of my body is getting fat on it too! and I have no idea how! and the weirdest part is, I took a Body Mass Index test, its say I'm 0.7 B.M.I. under weight! but I'm starting to get fat for no reason at all? what the heck is happening to me?

If your underweight I suggest you stop. Maybe you are over exercising but I really have no idea.

hmmm, that's strange. I really don't know but the best advice i can give is go to the doctor and have him/her check it out. Just to make sure the BMI was correct.

Has your diet or activity level changed? Are you eating differently, more greasy hamburgers or ice cream and stuff, maybe? If you add carbs and sugars and fats and the like to your diet, you'll get, well, fat!

Take a look at your diet, see if you're eating more of the yuck. Often, people eat without thinking, so they end up eating all the things that taste good, which, not surprisingly, are also fattening.

Some scientists say that there is a gene in your body that blocks your sensory messages from your stomach. They say that when some people are eating, the stomach doesn't tell them that there full, so they keep on eating at that's a reason why they get fat.
I'm not sure if i believe this as you are the one who control's your weight, but i'd thought i'd let you know.

thats just it, I mean I dont eat greasy stuff like hamburgers, but I do eat a fair amount of ice cream, but it shouldnt really matter! I ecxercise right after and eat fruits and vegetables.....

When you go through puberty it's natural for fat to be deposited in your lower abdomen/abdominal area. Your metabolism could be slowing down, I think this is also a normal thing for puberty.

Actually your body might need to grow to accomidate the growing muscles. Just exercise and eat healthy and if you think it's a problem call your Doctor.

I think its puberty. If you are a smidgen underweight then I think your fine but if youre 15+ pounds underweight then maybe you should stop doing workouts thta would make you loose wiehgt. Only ones that tone your body. However, I think that it is puberty..to be quite honest...but it may be something else. It may be your natural body. I dont know.

It does involve puberty. So you're correct Neptune. Ice cream does have alot of trans and saturated fats. So ease up on the dairy delight and try to drink green tea more often

Well some nice cold milk would be a good choice. But Dairy products cause build up and congestion.

You can try plain water. If you don't' like tea because thats a good suggestion.

Although milk is really good for you, it is dairy, and does have a lot of fat. (Unless you buy fat free milk)

I would just drink water if i were you. Or find a drink you really like, like a special kind of tea.

Dairy products also have alot of necessary protein..

Drinking water is good, but drinking too much water is not good.

2~ liters a day is good, I wouldn't go over 2. Your body needs about 1.5 every day.

If you eat ice cream, substitute every bowl with a scoop of vanilla mixed with milk. Personally I find it nicer than ice cream, and it's great to stop you drinking all this carbonated muck. Also, because theres less dairy being taken in, you're not going to be as fat.

Some scientists say that there is a gene in your body that blocks your sensory messages from your stomach. They say that when some people are eating, the stomach doesn't tell them that there full, so they keep on eating.... What you're describing is a very real, but incredibly rare disease called Prader-Willi syndrome - a genetic condition in which messages do not reach the brain to tell it the stomach is full. It does, in fact, exist; there is no 'some scientists say' about it, it's real. But it's also very, very rare.

Actually your body might need to grow to accomidate the growing muscles. Just exercise and eat healthy and if you think it's a problem call your Doctor. Good advice this. Your body will store fat much more quickly than it will build muscle.

Also, you're FOURTEEN for criminy sake... the BMI isn't accurate in people your age! Heck, it's barely a yardstick in adults, it's all but worthless to teens and kids.

If you're eating right and exercising, a little puppy fat your age doesn't really mean anything. Don't worry about it! If you gain like 20 pounds or something, or if it's still with you in five years, then worry about it. For now, just be a kid! ;)
