not sure where to put this really. hope this is right. here it goes. I'm 13 and I'm 5'6. I've always been tall and skinny. I can't help it! people are like "why don't you eat more" but I eat more than most people lol. is it just the way I'm built? I really don't mind it, I kind of like it. I was just wondering if it's "OK" to be tall & skinny. I would think since I still eat, it's just fine.
(I'm also really into golf and biking)

if you want to gain weght. Try and not do so much sporty activities. Be a slob for a few
days. If that dosent work you need to see a docter. Hope I have helped.

I think if your worried you should go see your doctor, or the local dietitian. They can tell you what weight you need to be to be healthy for your age and height.

It could very well be just your body type. It can also be to do with your metabolism and the rate at which it works.
If you have a high metabolism rate (which you probably have) your body quickly releases energy from the food you eat. If you were to have a slow metabolism rate then your body would take longer to release energy from your food. People with faster metabolisms can eat more than someone who has a slower metabolism without putting on the weight that they do.

I'm reminded of the saying "You can never be too rich or too skinny".
Your body type is determined by a lot of things, like genetics, your metabolism, your activity level, etc. And it sounds like you're built like your dad (genetics), and you're fairly active (high activity level). And, i'd bet you eat pretty good, too. Active people tend to be more in touch with what their bodies need, thay actually 'crave' things that satisfy their high energy needs, like pasta, fruits, veggies, whole grains. Likewise, really active guys tend not to tolerate greasy, salty, fatty, yucky, high calorie foods very regularly.
It's interesting that people comment on your weight, just as an aside, there's often a bias against anyone who's different. Sadly, with the trend today towards obesity, they see you're being fit and healthy as something potentially troublesome!
As long as you're feeling good, then more power to ya! your weight sounds fine (I'm a skinny guy, too).

No
Dont 'be a slob' for a few days. That is very unhealthy.
If your healthy, then it really isn't a problem,
But if your having trouble gaining weight, and you really need to gain some, ask your doctor
