okay, my pubic hair has been getting really long and crazy so long that it sticks out of the top of my boxers and pants. I have been thinking about shaving but dont really know how to go about it especially because i havent shaved anywhere else on my body. also im kinda of nervous about if it will be awkward when i got to the doctor and they see that i shaved it and ask me about it.

Firstly I would recommend trimming instead of shaving. Shaving tends to feel like there are fire ants in your pants as it starts to grow back.

To answer your question. You take a razor and shaving cream. Rub some shaving cream over said area, and then run the razor over said area. Rinsing the razor off with water every so often to get the shaving cream and hair off.

Your doc won't even mention it. He has no reason to mention it. He checks down there to make sure you are healthy, not to embarrass you by pointing out that you shaved.

My skin doesn't itch when I shave but my razor has an attachment similar one you'd use to cut hair. I just it strictly for this and it works great, I only have to shave once every few months, then trim up in areas that I'm afraid to shave, such as my scrotum.

i'm always tempted to get the scissors out and trim them a bit. But I wont shave mine completely of. Wash the blade regally and be careful of your gentiles. You do not, want to shave them of.

I just wanted a little bit of humor. You can seriously damage them though.

How old are you? Because I dont recommend shaving until your like 15, unless you can endure the itchiness.

Use lots of cream and a good razor.

It is none of the odctos buissness while you don't have hair down there.

Oh not again. Why do people insist on shaving their pubes.WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't get it, is it some test that new into puberty kids take to prove that there all macho or something?
Anyway, you seem to have very long pubes for someone your age, do i believe this post? Well i'll try. Just trim them and don't leave the hairs around for ur parents to find them.

True. That's what i mean about people shaving them.
There probably going, 'look i'm hard because i look like a six year old'.
Sorry don't get it. I can understand trimming, but shaving? No.

Its like shaving of the hair on your head. Put it that way and that would change people's minds.

Shaving causes itchy stubble. Why would you want to shave, I'm proud of my hair, you should too, your becoming a man.

I would say to just trim... shaving is not very pleasant, especially when the hair grows back...

To clear out the rumors for you:

No it does not grow back thicker whenever it grows back, if you shave it it just appears this way because you went from having none to having lots more than you are used to.

Will it get bushier the more I shave? No refer above!

Only shave IF YOU HAVE TO.

I shaved the other day and my skin is so irritated. Never, again!

First of all, you do not have to worry about the doctor seeing that you have shaved or trimmed your pubic hair. A lot of males do it - it is nothing weird or strange. Besides, it would extremely juvenile and unprofessional for a doctor to even acknowledge that - I highly doubt you will ever meet one that would do that. The doctor is there to help you and make sure you are healthy, not to comment the appearance of your pubic and genital region.

I would not recommend shaving your pubic hair. The skin and hair shafts down there are very sensitive and prone to irritation, including razor burn and ingrown hairs. Plus, pubic hair is thick and coarse, and it grows back very quickly, so within a few days you will have a lot of itchy, scratchy stubble. Not pleasant. I think you would be much better off just keeping it trimmed. :)

i would say trim it instead of shave.
shaving is fine if you can do it every few days... but if you just leave it to grow after the first time, it gets so damn itchy down there.
