oh wow, yah thats why i go to public school haha. how much is yearly tuition? i know a private school down the road forces every kid to buy a labtop and their yearly tuition with the books and labtop is near 20 grand.

For my course I needed a laptop and then the books are really expensive. Your talking €80/US$125 a book. But I am smart. You don't need to buy the books. You take a trip to the library, photocopy the parts you actually need and everything is great and money left over to buy nice things.

Books are a killer.
It can get as high as $500 a term just for books...
That's why I'm finding out what books I need in advance,
And finding them cheaper elsewhere before the year starts.

Did you guys try Amazon.com I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere that they offer college books cheaper.

it should be a crime how much they charge for books at university...how could anyone afford that shit, especially when the country (USA) is in an effin recession

thats stupid.. really, why aren't the books like in regualr school, they give em to you and you have to RETURN them? it would save the school and the student so much trouble

It's manditory for me to have a laptop. And the required books for my university. It's around 35 grand for me a year. Yes it's ridiculously high.

it really is rediculous how much they can charge. but i think one of the reasons they do this is to keep their tuition down. like if you pay $2000 for books a year and you go for 4 years that is an $8000 difference.

I just ordered my books for school and it was like $600 for all of them. I go to private school too so we have to get our own books.

I have NEVER heard of a high school making you pay for books. That is totally rediculous. That better be a damn good school. That school has you paying tuition so they should go ahead and get the books too.
