Depends the type of online dating. I believe in dating services kind of things if you are safe about it But people that meet in chat rooms or MMORPG kind of stuff is just not safe. All online dating is not safe, dont get me wrong, but that especially is dangerous.

Well i'm not a huge fan of it myself. But if your truly desperate to find the male/female of your dreams regardless of the consequences then I think you should try it.

It all really depends on what you mean by it. But yeah if you mean the stupid chat room then I wouldn't. You really don't know whats behind the computer.

At least in those other sites, they advertise them on television and such.

I think its a great idea especially for those who don't have time to socialize out on the town. Well that's my opinion. Somebody else might disagree though.

On some sites you DO see each other. The online bit is just to meet each other.

Personally, if it works for you, go for it. I think that it's fairly unsafe, but if your 18+, and you meet them in a crowded place, there's not much that can go wrong.

But also, ones on games and chat rooms that the people never actually meet, are kind of pointless.

I've tried online dating. Trust me, it does not work out well. And you end up wrecking your friendship. Just friendships online are good enough, but relationships romantically speaking won't work out unless you two can talk things out face-to-face and have physical contact with each other.
