i'm embarrassed about my voice. throughout my younger years i was always made fun of because i tried to make my voice sound deeper than what it was, it was totally obvious, and i totally sounded like a tool. but see, it kindof stuck with me, i don't know how to make my voice sound "normal" anymore. now, acouple years after my voice has changed, i sound like a complete demon or something. my voice is just TOO "bass-y"... i'm trying to talk with a slightly higher pitched voice so i don't sound like some rapeist over the phone, or in person. gah.... i guess it won't be too bad when i'm a man, and my voice matches my apperance. :(
is anyone else in the same boat as i am?

Well I am having trouble getting my voice down. Voices change but I don't think that you forced yourself to physically alter your voice. I think it is all in your head. Usually in theatre or news men talk in higher voices to appeal better to the ear. It actually depends on the person but I recommend that. Whenever you talk try to sound like you are talking into a camera. It may work or not idk. Anyways, umm if that is total crap to you just think really hard and practice at home to talk at a higher pitch. What feels natrual is whats best.
Good luck

i'm very close to my full adult voice, and so is practically everyone in my school. So i'm fine with it.

Well I'm almost 18 and my voice still sounds like an 11 year olds. But I gotten to get used to it. My voice has never cracked. I can't even try to deepen my voice so I say forget it. It makes me unique.
