Songs don't usually make me cry but this one got to me...I'm gonna post the lyrics cause I'm not sure if many people here listen to country music lol

Lyrics to "Skin" by Rascal Flatts:

Sarah Beth is scared to death
To hear what the doctor will say
She hasn't been well
Since the day that she fell
And the bruises just won't go away
So she sits and she waits with her mother and dad
Flips through an old magazine
Till a the nurse with a smile
Stands at the door
And says will you please come with me

Sarah Beth is scared to death
Cause the doctor just told her the news
Between the red cells and white
Something's not right
But we're gonna take care of you

Six chances in ten it won't come back again
With the therapy were gonna try
It's just been approved
It's the strongest there is
I think we caught it in time

Sarah Beth closes her eyes
She dreams she's dancing
Around and around without any cares
And her very first love is holding her close
And the soft wind in blowing her hair

Sarah Beth is scared to death
As she sits holding her mom
Says it would be a mistake
For someone to take
A girl with no hair to the prom

Oh, just this morning right there on her pillow
Was the cruelest of any surprise
And she cried when she gathered it all in her hands
The proof that she couldn't deny

Sarah Beth closes her eyes
She dreams she's dancing
Around and around without any cares
And her very first love was holding her close
And the soft wind is blowing her hair

Its quarter to seven
That boys at the door
And her daddy ushers him in
And when he takes off his cap
They all start to cry
Cause this mornin where his hair had been
Softly she touches just skin

And they go dancin
Around and around without any cares
And her very first true love was holding her close
And for a moment she isn't scared

Jack Johnson - No Other Way

When your mind is a mess
so is mine
I cant sleep
cause it hurts when I think
My thoughts aren't at peace
with the plans that we make
chances we take
they're, not yours and not mine
there's waves that can break
all the words that we said
and the words that we mean
words can fall short
can't see the unseen
cause the world is awake
for somebody's sake now, please close your eyes woman
please get some sleep

And know that if I knew
all of the answers I would
not hold them from you'd
know all of the things that i'd know
we told each other, there is no other way

Well too much silence can be misleading
You're drifting I can hear it in the way that your breathing
We don't really need to find reason
Cause out the same door that it came well its leaving its leaving
Leaving like a day that’s done and part of a season
Resolve is just a concept that's as dead as the leaves
But at least we can sleep, its all that we need
When we wake we will find
Our minds will be free to go to sleep

And know that if I knew
all of the answers I would
not hold them from you'd
know all of the things that i'd know 'cause
we told each other, there is no other way

Three Wooden Crosses - Randy Travis.

A farmer and a preacher a hooker and a teacher
Riding on a midnight bus
Bound for Mexico
One was headed for vacation
Nne for higher education
And two of them were searchin for lost souls
That driver never ever saw the stop sign
And eighteen wheelers can't stop on a dime

[Chorus:]
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go

That farmer left his harvest
A hime and eighty acres
The faith and love for growing things in his young son's heart
And that teacher left her wisdom in the minds of lots of children
Did her best to give em all a better start
And that preacher whispered, "Can't you see the promise land?"
As he laid his blood stained bible in that hooker's hand

[Chorus:]
That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday
As he held that blood stained bible up for all of us to see
He said bless the farmer and the teacher and the preacher
Who gave this bible to my momma who read it to me

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them
Now I guess we know
It's not what it takes when you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go
There are three wooden crosses
On the right side of the highway ...

Who will watch the home place - Buddy Wasisname and the other fellers.

songs about having to leave newfoundland because the govt of canada sucked out all the money.

Leaves are falling and turning in showers of gold
As the postman climbs up the long hill
And there's sympathy written all over his face
As he hands me a couple more bills.

Chorus:
Who will watch the home place
Who will tend my heart's dear space
Who will fill my empty place
When I am gone from here.

There's a lovely green nook by a clear running stream
It was my place when I was quite small
And its creatures and sounds would soothe my worst fears
but today they don't ease me at all.

Chorus

In my grandfather's shed there are hundreds of tools
I know them by feel and by name
And like parts of my body they've patched this old place
When I move them they won't be the same.

And as I wanted around touching each precious thing
The chimmy, the table, the trees
And my memories whirl >round me like birds on the wing
When I leave here, who will I be?

Chorus

As someone was talking about movies, I'd have to say The Invisible was really sad at a few points, especially the end with the little kid and his plane.

The song Sandstorms by Viking Moses.

Some really beautiful memories are insinuated when I listen to that song. The kind of memories that make you feel like there are butterflies in your chest.

The song is on their myspace, I'd suggest listening to it:

Love's Tragedy Asunder by Demons and Wizards.

Here in the shadows
There's no wishing well
May the blessed one forgive me
Like so many times before
There's no saviour at the door
It won't matter anymore

Touch me now while we reach the end
I wonder where you are right now, right now
Oh my dear

She still has sunshine in her weary eyes
A bed of roses to testify my love
A promise made, now I will make a try
There is no power on earth to tear us apart

Love's tragedy asunder
Oh, set your spirit free
Love's tragedy asunder
Do I believe

Deep in the shadows there's no release
(I believe)
Deep in the shadows you won't find peace
(I believe)
We live in a dreamworld, it's over now
I'll take your hand, our time is sure to come

On broken wings I try to fly
I'm sorry I couldn't get it right
All praise and glory to
All praise and glory to love

I've buried sunlight when I shut her eyes
Dead leaves to dust, no seasons bloom
A glimpse of heaven showed an angel bright
Tenfold the cries on crack of doom

Love's tragedy asunder
What it means for me
Love's tragedy asunder
Will I be free

Love's tragedy asunder
Will I be free
Love's tragedy asunder
Falling misery
Love's tragedy asunder
Do I believe
Love's tragedy asunder
Still I believe

I love the lyrics to Hello by Evanescence.

Playground school bell rings again
Rain clouds come to play again
Has no one told you she's not breathing?
Hello, I'm your mind giving you someone to talk to
Hello

If I smile and don't believe
Soon I know I'll wake from this dream
Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken
Hello, I'm the lie living for you so you can hide
Don't cry

Suddenly, I know I'm not sleeping
Hello, I'm still here
All that's left of yesterday

Agreed.
This song is great musically as well.

Wonder.

Perfectly Flawed by Otep makes me emotional. You should listen to it and read the lyrics.

It's the same slice, same blade, It's the same lie, same ol' vein.

It's a song to people who cut themselves. It makes me sad but it's my favorite song so I listen to it all the time so I'm always sad. Not always but you get what I mean.

Last Drop Falls by Sonata Arctica

When I'm looking in your eyes
Everything seems to fade away
After all these years we had do I know you now
Have I trusted blindly in your love, too many times

You said: "hey, my love, I'm sorry but we can't go on 'cause
I'm in love with someone else"
Tell me, what do you want me to say
When you treat me this way

Oh I love you, maybe?
And I hope it goes away
Oh, how I want you daily
I know it's gonna stay

You are so self satisfied
Always ready for a ride
Double crossing, lousy cheat, love you anyway
You have warm and tender devils soul, you are so low

I can hear you say: "I'm sorry, should we still go on,
I'm not in love with that someone else"
Tell me, what do you want me to say
When you treat me this way

Oh I love you, maybe?
And I hope it goes away
Oh, how I want you daily
Tell me now that...

I have found the whore in you
Why can't I tell you "NO"?
Time will show, the last word is for me
If you fail to see the problem we have, one room full of walls
Jar of love isn't dry until the last drop falls

The moment I will step aside, you're ready for another ride
Walking in the cool night air without underwear
You have red light burning in your soul, I've seen the glow

In every dream I have I say: "I'm not in love with you"
But every day I say I do
You have messed with my head so many times
Forced me to love you

Now that I have found the whore in you
why Can't I tell you "NO"?
Time will show, the last word is for me
If you fail to see the problem we have, one room full of walls
I will cry until the last drop falls.. (X2)

I have two:

The first is "Fooled Me Again" by Lady Gaga. It's an unreleased track that she's performed less than 5 times. When she plays it, you can see how much pain she was in when she wrote it.
Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIeCrj_Gn6A

The second is "Don't Give Up," but the remake done by The Midway State featuring Lady Gaga (see a trend :P). Every time I hear it, I just feel so grateful for the great friends that I have. I don't know what I'd ever do without them. I just know that they'd be there for me no matter what.

I have only ever had tears in my eyes for two songs.

1) My heart Will Go On - This was when I was watching the Titanic and the song came on. It is an amazing song that was perfectly written for the movie.

2) Warmness on the Soul by Avenged Sevenfold - This was a weird one, because I began to get tears the first time I had this when the solo came on. It is a slow, emotional guitar solo, but it fits the song so well, and the words to the song are very touching. They are as though everybody has been through it (the lyrics were about love) at one point.

"Amazing Grace". The song originally sung by African-American slaves. It's played at funerals. A few weeks ago at my great uncle's funeral, they played the song and I couldn't hold back my emotion and fell to the floor.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
that saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found, was bling but now I see.
'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears believed,
How precious did that grace appear.
The hour I first believed.

if you've ever lost someone you love in any way..
you should listen to this song.

city and colour - serravalle/missing
So, now you're not there
But your ghost still burns in the air
Finally above us the waves have come
To take you away

And with this song, I'll say goodbye
And thank you for what you've done to my life
And Finally I'll say it with love
I hope you're at rest in the stars above

And I don't understand what you died for
We still could have given so much more
And I know you are something I could never be
But I know you're still there watching over me

I haven't really cried to music, but I do know allot about depressing and dark music from all types of genres. If you know me, you know that I know lots and lots of music. So of course I know what I'm talking about. Here kids, we will talk about SADCORE.

Elliott Smith: is the king of this genre. I don't think he has one happy song. He grew up in a heavily religious family, was molested by his father, and fell into a huge drug habit. He's been universally acclaimed by some of his albums. Unfortunately, he killed himself. Ex 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fq2QKo8n_5g) and Ex 2. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wymViayJyG4). I do feel a strange connection when I listen to his music and even though I never met him in real life and it was his decision, I wish he didn't off himself and would of gotten help.

Otep: Queen of it. She's known for taking metal to places that haven't been explored and her levels of getting down right personal. Otep and Strapping Young Lad have to be the two most angry metal bands ever. She had a real bad childhood due to sexual abuse by her religious father. She made her music as a way to speak out her troubles. Ex 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nx4V1CV63PU)

Gregor Samsa: Post Rock with very slow, epic, but dark complexity. Ex 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtiNjvB_VMU)

Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton: Her solo project from metric is very dark with mainly her and a piano. Lyrical, it hits hard and could bring people tears. I do warn that she can be "triggering". Ex 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9WiU7cMDrx8), Ex 2 With Music Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8ixpuUpJAk).

Nine Inch Nails: isn't that depressing, but trent do have some dark points. The whole "Downward Spiral" album was about a drug addict and his life getting worse, then ending it in suicide. Also, The Fragile was mainly written about his grandmother's death who mainly raised Trent Reznor as a kid. Ex 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw8_7apOoyI), Ex 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jAyfGzSaz0), Ex 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yd0nIsGHIvc), and of course Hurt (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb4qyuR7_cc)
Then there's this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDQjbWMQWhY). There's personal reasons to why this song is very powerful to me, while others might not understand. Mainly due to the lyrics makes me think allot about people I know who aren't alive anymore and people I miss.

Cage: Rapper who talks allot about child abuse and topics on that line. from wikipedia - Palko was born in Würzburg, Germany to American parents. His father, Bill Murray, was stationed on a West German military base as a member of the military police. Palko lived there until the age of four when Murray was dishonorably discharged for selling and using heroin, and the family was sent back to the United States where they lived in Middletown, New York. Murray would often force Palko to pull homemade tourniquets around his arm as he injected heroin. At the age of eight, Palko's father was arrested during a standoff with state troopers after threatening his family with a shotgun. By the time Palko was kicked out of high school, his mother had remarried twice, and he was beaten by his stepfather. Palko began using LSD, mescaline, cannabis and alcohol, and was sent to live with his uncle on a German military base, where he was beaten and sent home after a year.
Palko was arrested several times for drug possession and fighting in the streets. When he faced jail time for violating probation, his mother convinced the judge that he was mentally unstable, and he was sent to the Stoney Lodge psychiatric hospital for a two week evaluation. He eventually ended up staying in the hospital for eighteen months, where he was a part of a small group used to test fluoxetine. After being misdiagnosed and placed on the drug, he became suicidal and made several attempts to kill himself, including hanging himself with his shoelaces and saving his lithium dose for a month before ingesting all of them at once. He was illegally restrained over twenty times for periods of up to thirteen hours at a time by straitjacket and ten point bed restraints. Ex 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnWQ18Xzkfg) and Ex 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mPlYUANN7g).

Will post more if people enjoy the followings.

Waiting for Superman -Flaming Lips

i asked you a question
I didn't need you to reply
Is it getting heavy?
But they realize

Is it getting heavy?
Well I thought it was as
already as heavy as can be

Is it overwhelming
to use a crane to crush a fly?
It's a good time for Superman
to life the sun into the sky

Cause it's getting heavy
Well I thought it was already as heavy as can be

Tell everyone waiting for Superman
That they should hold on as best they can
He hasn't dropped them, forgot them, or anything
It's just too heavy for Superman to lift

Cause it's getting heavy
Well I thought it was already as heavy as can be

Tell everyone waiting for Superman
That they should hold on as best they can
He hasn't dropped them, forgot them, or anything
It's just too heavy for Superman to lift

Gotthard-I Wonder

I'm running out of love
I'm loosing ground
There's emptiness inside
I'm on my way down
And here I walk alone
With no destination, or places to go

You're always on my mind
No wonder why
We had the best of times
Oh, I can't deny
But something fell apart,
I know how it feels now
When two worlds collide

Now I can't believe you're gone tonight
When I should be holding you so tight
I can't believe and I wonder
(I wonder)
I wonder
(I wonder)
Where we're going
Love don't live here anymore
Anymore, anymore

Now, when I close my eyes
Pictures of you
Will never hold me back
From what I must do
Ain't gonna waste my time
Thinking 'bout all the pain
You put me through

Now I can't believe you're gone tonight
When I should be holding you so tight
I can't believe and I wonder
(I wonder)
I wonder
(I wonder)
Where we're going

And I keep on walking in the rain
I like to believe you feel the same
I wonder
(I wonder)
Yes, I wonder
(I wonder)
Is it over
Love don't live here anymore

Now I can't believe you're gone tonight
When I should be holding you so tight
I can't believe and I wonder
(I wonder)
I wonder
(I wonder)
Where we're going

Oh, yeah!
And I keep on walking in the rain
I like to believe you feel the same
I wonder
(I wonder)
Yes, I wonder
(I wonder)
Is it over
Love don't live here anymore
Anymore, anymore
Love don't live here anymore
No more...

Bullet For My Valentine-A Place Where You Belong

Your body's cold
Hope is lost I can't let go
Can I die with you so we can never grow old?
Count the times
With this note you left behind
As I read the words I hear you telling me why

Too late, too late
I never said goodbye
Too late, too late
Can't even ask you why
And now I'm wasting away in my own misery
I hope you've finally gone to a place where you belong

My sadness shows
As your name is carved in stone
Can't erase the words, the reality grows
I wish I died
On that night right by your side
So just kill me now, let the good times roll
Too late, too late

Too late, too late
I never said goodbye
Too late, too late
Can't even ask you why
And now I'm wasting away in my own misery
I hope you've finally gone to a place where you belong

Will you wait for me?
When I see you on the other side
You won't have to wait too long
Yeah, yeah
Will you come to me?
When you're safely to the other side
'cause here I don't belong

Too late, too late
I never said goodbye
Too late, too late
Can't even ask you why
And now I'm wasting away in my own misery
I hope you've finally gone to a place where you belong

I never said goodbye
Can't even ask you why (I've wasted)
Away in my own misery
I hope you've finally gone to a place where you belong

"Kanashii Yokan" (Sad Premonition)

~The moon cast a sad premonition...
How far does it continue?
I gave you
a clock without hands.
I was in a sweet dream from which it seemed I would never awaken.
Time itself was stopped.

Soon, those shining days may fade.
You continue to decorate what you say with lies.
My future may be breaking.

I have a sad premonition.
Someday my
memories may be scarred by pain.

In your pursuit
of your dream's horizon,
do you really need me?

I have a sad premonition.~

Was listening to Rozz Williams and trying to write a very hard part of my autobiography. This song definitely goes in this topic.

Life Is But A Dream - Rozz Williams

Broken trachea and the oxygen spirals out of control and far too soon
Sail the seas on empty ships, searching for treasure long lost in centuries of old, eclipsed
No gold can replace friends that turn to demons and decay before our wearied eyes
Yes, I am a prick – no disguising my demise, and I’d turn in less than a second to jab out those dark, accusing eyes, not even flinch to end the existence of flowers wilting in the garden
A dead bed of roses at your feet
Walk over the edge…
For game, I suppose
So close and yet so far
Away with simple atrocities that benefit only those who turn their backs on life’s seasoned indulgences
Wilted time clock arrangements in unproclaimed disarray…
Ding dong, the bitch is dead along with the rest of those, oh, so familiar faces, traces of my distaste
For reason still linger
Don’t point that arthritic finger at me, you unwholesome clod
I don’t run in those clouded areas of green dread
Fierce jaundice and flaking skin, the flesh unwoven and brought to an all time low
This separation wasn’t wanted, wasted, but necessity forced its hand…
Strangled, newborn tissue on fire
Burn filament outwits the dullard, two-bit, penny annie, gutter snipe
Ripe fruit hangs rotten in this garden of darkly, delighted spite
Trauma center, epi-center – do you feel the earth quake?
Time shivers and left over passion falters for a moment in the passive wind blowing over my sensitive skin – x out insects
Fate god dammit, I hate you
Everything you stand for, I abhor
Confusion sets in as the night returns in
Dark shadow of repute…
Yes, I am to blame for all that’s gone wrong in third world abortions
Fuck you all, I’ll hide it my way.

Rozz Williams made a song that is actually his suicide note so I've been told. Click. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fRh0XHBja0)

This is a traditional Celtic song that makes me emotional every time. I don't have a link, so I'll just type a few words of it.

I will pull my love some roses,
some wild Irish roses,
I will pull my love some roses,
the fairest tae see;
and I'll lay them on the graveside
of my own dear darling Mary,
on that cold and silent grave
where she sleeps 'neath the dew.

For I loved her very dearly,
most truly and sincerely,
there is no-one in this wide world,
I love more than she;
Every bush and every bower,
every wild Irish flower,
reminds me of my Mary
on the banks of the Lee.

ok one more from Kate Miller-Heidke "Caught in the Crowd"

Embedding probably won't work here too, but you can watch it on youtube.

6ojoqHbPmzg

Lyrics:

Caught In The Crowd
There was a guy at my school when I was in high school
We'd ride side by side in the morning on our bicycles
Never even spoken or faced each other
But on the last hill we'd race each other

When we reached the racks we'd each go our own way
I wasn't in his classes, I didn't know his name
When we finally got to speak he just stared at his feet
And mumbled a sentence that ended with 'James'

I was young and caught in the crowd
I didn't know then what I know now
I was dumb, and I was proud
And I'm sorry
If I could go back do it again
I'd be someone you could call friend
Please please believe that I'm sorry

Well he was quite a big guy, kinda shy and quiet
When the kids called him weird he didn't try to deny it
Every lunchtime he'd spend walking by himself
Round the boundary of the grounds til he heard the bell

Well one day I found him, joined him on his walk
We were silent for a while until we started to talk
I told him my family were fighting in court
He said his step-dad and him always fought

We talked about music ? he was into punk
Told me all the bands that I liked were junk
I said I'd never heard the songs the sex pistols sang
I laughed back at him and then the bell rang

I was young and caught in the crowd
I didn't know then what I know now
I was dumb, and I was proud
And I'm sorry
If I could go back do it again
I'd be someone you could call friend
Please please believe that I'm sorry

It was after school in the afternoon
The corridors were crowded as we came out of the rooms
Three guys I knew pushed him into the cement
Threw away his bag and said he had no friends

He yelled that he did and he looked around
Tried getting up but they pushed him on down
That's when he saw me, called out my name
And I turned my back, and just walked away

Music, like any art, has the potential to inspire such incredibly strong emotion in a person. I think I've only cried once or twice through music. Once was to a yogic chant from musician Jai Uttal. The mantra was "Durga Pahimam" I was so overcome with emotion I started crying in the yoga studio while we were in class xD The second was a song by Imogen Heap.. don't remember the title but it was incredibly powerful as most of her work is.

I've definitely broken down in front of artwork though.

Enemy, familiar friend
My beginning and my end
Broken truth, whispering lies
And it hurts again
What I fear and what I try
Words I say and what I hide
All the pain, I want it to end
But I want it again
And it finds me
The fight inside is coarsing through my veins
And it's raging
The fight inside is breaking me again
It's still the same, pursuing pain
Isn't worth the lie I've gained
We both know how it will end
But I do it again
And it finds me
The fight inside is coarsing through my veins
And it's raging
The fight inside is hurting me again
And it finds me
The war within me pulls me under
And without you
The fight inside is breaking me again
And it finds me
The war within me pulls me under
And without you
The fight inside is breaking me again
Oh, it's everything

Oh, it's everything

John Mayer-Back To You

Back to you
It always comes around
Back to you
I tried to forget you
I tried to stay away
But it's too late

Over you
I'm never over
Over you
Something about you
It's just the way you move
The way you move me

I'm so good at forgetting
And I quit ever game I play
But forgive me, love
I can't turn and walk away

Back to you
It always comes around
Back to you
I walk with your shadow
I'm sleeping in my bed
With your silhouette

should have smiled in that picture
If it's the last that I'll see of you
It's the least that you
Could not do

Leave the light on
I'll never give up on you
Leave the light on
For me too

Back to me
I know that it comes
Back to me
Doesn't it scare you
Your will is not as strong
As it used to be

Song lyircs have been known to make me sad. Sometimes I listen to a sad song so much it doesn't make me sad anymore.
I've only cried to a song once. Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift. Not a huge country fan, but it's something that terrifies me. Growing up, that is.
I've cried while listening to music but usually I'm crying before I listen to it. Sometimes the lyrics emphasize my feelings and I get a whole new round of sad though.

I don't know if any songs have made me literally cry but the one that makes me the most emotional is probably I'll Be There For You by Bon Jovi:

I guess this time you're really leaving
I heard your suitcase say goodbye
And as my broken heart lies bleeding
You say true love in suicide

You say you're cried a thousand rivers
And now you're swimming for the shore
You left me drowning in my tears
And you won't save me anymore

Now I'm praying to God
You'll give me one more chance, girl

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you

I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what a love can do
I'll be there for you

I know you know we're had some good times
How they have their own hiding place
I can promise you tomorrow
But I can't buy back yesterday

And baby you know my hands are dirty
But I wanted to be your valentine
(From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/b/bon-jovi-lyrics/i_ll-be-there-for-you-lyrics.html)
I'll be the water when you get thirsty, baby
When you get drink, I'll be the wine

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you

I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what a love can do
I'll be there for you

And I wasn't there when you were happy
I wasn't there when you were down
I didn't mean to miss your birthday, baby
I wish I'd seen you blow those candles out

I'll be there for you
These five words I swear to you
When you breathe I want to be the air for you
I'll be there for you

I'd live and I'd die for you
Steal the sun from the sky for you
Words can't say what a love can do
I'll be there for you

Lyrics to How To Save A Life :

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
You begin to wonder why you came

CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you

CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life
How to save a life

CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

CHORUS:
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness

Doesnt literally make me cry but has meaning IMO.....Live This Life from Big&Rich.

Met a man on the street last night
Said his name was Jesus
Met a man on the street last night
Thought he was crazy till I watched him heal a blind man
Watched him heal a blind man now I see

I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore

Met a girl in a chair with wheels
But no one else would see her
Met a girl in a chair with wheels
Everyone was so afraid
To even look down on her
And she just spread her little wings and flew away yeah

I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore

Met a kid on a bridge last night
Contemplating freedom
Met a kid on a bridge last night
And he said
I'm tired of this maddening life
And I'm ready to go meet Jesus
And I said he's a friend of mine
Met him just last night
And it's alright
Yeah it's all right
Yeah

I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Then I will walk yes I will walk
With patience through that open door
I have no fears, angels follow me wherever I may go
I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore
Live here anymore

Met a man on the street last night
Said his name was Jesus
Met a man on the street last night

The Last Night- Skillet

You come to me with scars on your wrist
You tell me this will be the last night feeling like this
I just came to say goodbye
I didn't want you to see me cry, I'm fine
But I know it's a lie.

This is the last night you'll spend alone
Look me in the eyes so I know you know
I'm everywhere you want me to be.
The last night you'll spend alone,
I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go,
I'm everything you need me to be.

Your parents say everything is your fault
But they don't know you like I know you they don't know you at all
I'm so sick of when they say
It's just a phase, you'll be o.k. you're fine
But I know it's a lie.

This is the last night you'll spend alone
Look me in the eyes so I know you know
I'm everywhere you want me to be.
The last night you'll spend alone,
I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go,
I'm everything you need me to be.

The last night away from me

The night is so long when everything's wrong
If you give me your hand I will help you hold on
Tonight,
Tonight.

This is the last night you'll spend alone
Look me in the eyes so I know you know
I'm everywhere you want me to be.
The last night you'll spend alone,
I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go,
I'm everything you need me to be.

I won't let you say goodbye,
I'll be your reason why.

The last night away from me,
Away from me.

My sad music thread. (http://virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=96634)

MFW no Jonestown Tea by Otep. Although I've never cried to it or mainly any song ever, but whatever. I'll post the lyrics. I don't know.... A song about your father raping you? Doesn't get any darker than that.

----------

And it sounds like Armageddon

And I remember him fucking me,
And I remember liking it,
I didn't know any better...

And I remember the smell, and the pain, and the shame...
And I remember being afraid and thinking everyday,
Every single day.. that it was my fault...

Oh, but what happened to that little girl?
Who used to dream of one day ruling the world,
Who used to draw pretty pictures in my room---beneath the moon
Destroying to create
Softly praying to "God"

What do I do now?
What do I do now?

As I secretly masturbate...
But then I'd hear his hooves coming down the floor
With a Bible in his hand...

Softly opening my door and he'd say...

DAUGHTER! The day of your atonement is due!
Well there's 3 million sinners out there...
and that includes you!

No daddy, don't... no daddy, don't...
Leave Me Alone!
NO, I DON'T WANT TO BE FREE! NO, I DON'T WANT TO BE FREE!
SO TAKE YOUR DICK OUT OF ME!
PLEASE TAKE YOUR DICK OUT OF ME! PLEASE TAKE YOUR DICK OUT OF ME! PLEASE TAKE YOUR DICK OUT OF ME!

I'm bleeding, it's not fair...

You see, there's this little place I like to go...
I like to run and hide--deep inside,
Where all the nightmares are real, and all the monsters come alive,
Oh, but the things I've seen in soft, soft visions and terrifying prophecies,
Like serpents on the take and gods coming in all sizes and shapes
Nothing seems fulfilling anymore..

Well your temples are swollen in deceit and the body of your missionary,

He's rotting... rotting in defeat mama?

MAMA!
Are the aliens coming to take us away? (mama?)
Is Armageddon gonna happen again today?

LOOK WHAT HE DID TO ME! WHY DID YOU DO IT TO ME?!
HOW COULD YOU DO IT TO ME! WHY DID YOU DO IT TO ME?!

KILL WHAT YOU CAN ---- CHALLENGE EVERYTHING
Vengeance is mine...

Hey, I'm sorry baby...
please come back inside...we can laugh a little... and live and die,
no wait. see, i got this hot pot of Jonestown tea
And it's been brewing for you and me,
Oh, it only takes one sip,
Come on baby,
Surrender your lips,
I can take you someplace nice...

Breed my disease, be my disease...
and vengeance will be mine
It's closer than you think...

So I entered his room at 32 past noon
With my little ritual knife...
I cut out his tongue
Liberated his wife
She loved me for it; other world woman,

Well, thats what she called me (Destroyer),
the one who sets you free

BoySetsFire - "My Life In The Knife Trade"

how many times
have I noticed that our eyes hardly ever meet
from your judgment seat
i can feel the anger for my very being
fill me in
on when you became such a big part of my life
that i should bother
with all your lies designed to bring me down

wrong again
don't depend
on any reaction again

i remember the icy walls that shot up from nowhere
and i can see every lie you've ever told yourself
you bleed me dry and i don't ask why but i'm left with the dust
judas kiss i dismiss thank you all for this i am untouched
i am un...

wait again
i'm not through with the screaming
i contend
that you've got nothing better to do

trade my life for a barrel of gold
find someone else before i get too old
if i live my life for aesthetic gain
will you repay me with all your shame

i can see every light inside your brain
go on every time that i walk by for noise and whispers
your comfort in my suffering is no longer disturbing
i'm lost beyond your petty stopwatch in life's real time
life's real...

wait again
i'm not through with the screaming
i contend
that you've got nothing better to do

trade my life for a barrel of gold
find someone else before i get too old
if i live my life for aesthetic gain
will you repay me with all your shame

don't get up
i was only leaving the room
when the door
of your judgment
swings back around again
maybe i'll stop to watch your act
i'll go on my way

i've seen quite enough of too many childish games
i'm ashamed of every moment that i ever gave them the time of day
all the worst of enemies are somehow always friends that used to be
