No, they don't.

What happens is that most guys eagerly await them, and then eagerly await them growing darker and thicker. So, it seems different, but maybe because we're so focused on them. And then a lot of them eagerly shave them off or trim them down, in a bit of truly inconsistent logic known only to adolescent boys, but that's another topic, I suppose.

Pubic hair growth is governed by hormones, body hair (depending where it is), isn't. So, it's growth can be different. For instance, leg ahir or arm hair, which has always been there, is determined by different factors other than pubic, tush, armpit, chest, and face hairs which are determined by hormones. As you get older and get mroe hormones, they grow more (and thicker and denser).
