What do you like about school?
I like learning new things, and I like that I now have more freedom in choosing what I learn. I know I can never learn everything, but if I can learn some of what will help me in real life, and learn more about things I'm interested in, that's all I need.

What do you dislike/hate about school?
The stress, mostly. Sometimes it's not so bad, but a lot of the stresses in my life over the past few years have been school-related. I also hate being stuck with a teacher who demands your respect without making an effort to respect you. I've had a few of those, and it really ruins the experience of taking that class.

What are your goals for the next semester or year?
Well, this will be my first semester in college, so I suppose my first goal is just to survive it. I'm not sure what to expect overall, nor do I know exactly how hard my classes will be, but I'm only taking 3 classes (for a total of 10 units), so I'm not quite full-time. Also, all of my classes meet Monday and Wednesday, so thought I'm on campus all day, I only have to be there 2 days out of the week, and I get a small break between classes. Surviving should be doable. My second goal is to do well in all of my classes (at least my best). We'll see how that ends up at the end of the semester.

I have always liked school, maybe because I've done really well there.

But I really like learning, I have always had a voracious mind, I get very cranky if idle for long periods of time (more than 10 minutes)! So, school has always been really entertaining for me. And, i've always had a lot of respect there, which also made it more enjoyable.

I never see myself outsde of an academic institution for long, I'd love to be good enough at *whatever* so that i can pass it along to young 'uns somewhere, sometime. Hey, maybe that's why I like VT so much.
