something bit me

a couple days ago, i was sitting on my grandmas porch and something bit my leg. at first, i thought it was just a mosquito bite because it looked like one. it was kinda red and itched for a little while then stopped, but was still slightly red. now, its bigger than a mosquito bite and dark purple. it really hurts. i went to CVS and asked them what i should put on it, if anything. the guy there said to just keep cleaning it with alcohol and keep it covered to keep any germs out of it. but that hasnt helped.

any ideas on what it could be or what to do about it??

Hmmm I am not sure what it is, but if it gets any worse i would advise going to the doctor.
It was probably a spider bite of some sort, but im not sure what kind

Probably a horse fly or a greenhead if left un-clean those two bites do have a tendency to turn bad.

if the bite has a head, or a little hole on top of the swollen area, try to drain it. i remember i was bitten by a spider about 14 years ago and the only way to clean/sanitize it was to drain the bite, i.e. cut it open and squeeze the juice out. :eek:
