Does anyone else have voices with names?
Whenever I have voices they are like real people planted in my head.

Currently I have 'Fiona', she gives me the most trouble.
Second I have 'my happy man', he looks after me and keeps me safe.

Also, do you find you get obsessive about certain things (e.g. a number, word, song, person)?

Keep talking with your docs, keep taking your meds, and the voices will stop.

I didn't have 'names' per say,
But I had: The Shrieking Women, The Murmuring Man and The Menacing Shadow.
I don't hear them much anymore since I'm on medication.
I tend to be obsessive with the number 4,
I'll count my steps like 1,2,3,4... 1,2,3,4 or I have to group things in 4's.
It's not anything bad though, it doesn't interfere with my everyday life.

I sometimes argue with myself inside my head when I'm alone, and when I take notes in school, I like them to end on an even number.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm currently obsessed with the number ten.
I write 10 10s on my hands
do 10 sit-ups
eat 10 items of food
drink ten glasses of water.

I'm worried its starting to ruined my life.

aw dont be too hard on yourself, its just a small obsession, just try counting sheep, no grouping them in 10, count higher and higher until you get tired, that should help break the habit.

i have always heard voices in my head. although its more like my own voice with a diff personalty crisising everthing i do.

on the odd occasion he tells me to horrible things.
the worst part is that my own thoughts and someone elses thoughts are harder to distingwish. and i feel im going crazy.

That happens to me often too.

I find that I make up my own characters in my head, and they sort of guide me through my lfie, if that makes sense.
Like; I've created Zach, Dr. Mooshkwa, Stephanie and Ivanna (I hate Ivanna, she's the stuck-up bitch who brings Stephanie and Zach trouble, but she's scared of Dr. Mooshkwa).
I know exactly what they look like, their personality, interests, everything. It's almost as if they come naturally to me, it's almost as if they even EXIST because after I've created them it feels like they actually communicate with me.
A part of me wishes they DID exist.

I could explain in full detail of these characters if you wish.

And as well, I also find that I obsess over certain words or songs, occassionally people.

Well the voices in my head don't have names. But I do tend to obsess about the number 36 and the word "HeatCrazy". I have carved the #36 so many times into my body. I would like to get it tattooed in roman numerals (XXXVI). And HeatCrazy is a user name I use for this game I play. But for some reason it seems very important to me. Lol.

Two of my voices have names. There's violet, never with a capital V, and Quincy. The rest are just static and don't make any sense. Violet and Quincy both give me a lot of trouble but now that I'm on the right meds they don't come nearly as often.
As for obsessions, I really, really, reaalllyyy have trouble eating out of white bowls. I can't do it. And I can't be near furniture with gaps underneath. If I ave to get on my bed or a chair, I jump on from across the room. I also have a thing for the numbers 4, 2, 7, and 1, in that order. My favourite number is 4712.

I know you have something to say, but please do not bump very old threads; this one is over a year old. Next time, feel free to start a new thread if necessary, or reply to a more recent discussion if available.

Thank you so much! :locked:
