You can't change that until you have 2,500 posts, up to then it changes automatically.

I really don't think that's really fair. I mean we should all be able to express ourselves and come up with a good user title, but I don't make the rules.

Its a reward for becoming a dedicated member. Dedicated members can be entrusted with coming up with their own titles [2500+ posts] and creating their own avatars [5000+ posts], plus, titles are a sign of "status", a display of how dedicated you are to this site. You have to be really dedicated to have a custom title, and if you ever want to become a moderator/gmod/admin on this site, you have to forgot about custom titles and avatars, because you're not really supposed to have them if you choose to be a mod/etc.

You get to have your own avatar and signature. Some board administrators don't even give members the option of creating a custom title, so this is a privilage.

I really don't think that normal members can have that.

Yes, but I wouldn't, since it does you no good, people might PM you thinking you're a moderator, and it might not make the mods happy. I don't think anybody should

Actually, there is a default in vB that would allow you to censor such a thing. I don't know if the admins have decided to block that. Howevver, most forums do I think. Especially in usernames.
