I know i shouldnt be, but im embarased about puberty. Its fine with my friends, but to family i get embarresed about it
I mean, i only wear jenes coz i have hairier legs now. I have my arms folded so that they cant possible see up the shirt sleves (short sleves)
Just thinks like that makes me embarased. Which then makes me feel bad as its like i have to hide my self.
i dont know what to do

Thats exactly the same with me. Im so embarrased to go swimming w/ them because theyll see my hairy pits. Our parents will just have to realize that were growing up

It's just a part of growing up, over time you and other people will get used to it and see it as normal, they wont think anything about it.

hahaha, i know exactly what you mean. and its only around my family too, i don't feel that way around anyone else. last summer they all got to see my hairy legs so i'm over that now, but other things, well yeah, still feel the same way.

Everyone is embarassed about puberty. It's all a part of growing up. When you see someone who is developed a bit more then you and they act like they know everything, I'm sure that they're very embarassed too, they just don't show it.
It's all part of puberty and it's normal to be embarassed about it. Don't worry.

Modesty, huh?
I'd bet your folks never really told you much about puberty, the hairs and all. So, without that talk, it's sorta like they don't know about it, and maybe they wouldn't therefore be OK with it. Maybe there's a part of you that's totally not comfortable with it, either.
But, i think it's probably a mistake to conclude that they're not OK wth it, and/or that they dont know what's going on. Sometimes, parents think it awkward to bring up, they don't want to embarass either themselves or you. But, having been thru it themselves, I just know that they've figured out what happens at this age. Besides, if you wear long pants in the heat of summer, or do other things that you typically didn't when you were younger (like never raising your arms), they're much more likely to notice the change in behavior and bring it up.
Go about your normal life. And if they're typical parents, they will, too. Which means they'll say nothing.
