Okay, as of yesterday, my batter is being REALLY dumb. I plug in my charger to it, and the light on the side that shows if its charging just flickers. Though the battery icon on my bar on the bottom says :

So, this used to be at 716 hours, but is dropping way fast. Always remaining at 16%.
Here are some stats about my computer:
Dell Inspiron 1521 Laptop
Vista
Bought in November of last year
no visible signs of damage to charger or battery
first time this has happened.
almost brand new charger (lost old one)
If you ahve any questions to try to help me, i will be glad to answer ASAP

Check your charger. Also might be "Phantom Power"...energy that is used without any knowledge of it. I'll ask my friend for you though. So hopefully I'll get you an answer.

Haha, yeah I was looking at the other thread wondering... Anyways, my friend is on vacation for 2 more days from now. So until then I can't really ask anyone. But I looked around the net and found some trouble shooting sites and others. Lastly I'll go ask a professional about this, but they only check there emails every Tuesday and Thursday, so I'll also resolve to that.

My laptop is the same.
Mine is an Inspiron 9300
Theres a known problem with the chargers that they go out and stop working
Try buying a new charger.
Luckily mine doesn't charge, but the current runs through the battery so i can keep it alive by constant plug in.

It might be an internal problem of the battery or something of the Computer, go to Dell and that they check it up.
