I myself have never had "The Talk" with my parents, but my brother has. I don't know how I learned about sex but somehow I know. How many of you have had "The Talk" aka "The Birds and the Bees"?

I havent, but my house is very open about sex, so its kinda hard to not know this kinda stuff. Plus, the internet, society, and my older brothers kinda give it away. My innocence is gone!

no, i never got "the talk" my sisters did though. my twin had to get it because she is so damn boy crazy and my parents were worried that she would go out and do something dumb. they told me i was smart enough to figure this stuff out on my own...im glad they never gave me the talk. normal conversations with my parents are awkward. so that one would have been way beyond the line of awkward.

I don't think my parents really care enough to take the time to let me know that I should wait to have sex until I'm in a stable relationship because of the consequences. I've already had sex, and pretty much learned everything I need to know from books and experience.

I can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be hearing this stuff from your parents but you all should take the time to listen and embrace the fact that you have someone, who has had lots of life experience that you can ask questions to. It's a bonding experience, that I can only dream of having.

I have. Nothing special about it. Still wish it was my dad though, but he passed away. I think mothers should talk to daughters, and fathers to sons. But ya it was nothin special.

never had it, mainly because my step-mom was more concerned about getting me killed. Than worrying about my health; sexually.

None of the above.

No, and my parents have never felt the need to talk to me about such things because they know that I'm responsible and that I can easily figure stuff out on my own. I've always been the independent low-maintenence child. They know that I'll ask them anything that I don't know about already.

No, thank god. I knew about it anyway so...
No loss. Personally sometimes i think the parents find it alot harder and are more worried about it than we are.
Ironic. :-)

Yes, I have. I dont see what the big deal is. We all know what sex is and what happens during puberty anyway, its not really akward, but its not cool either. So I just said None of the Above.

No. Weird really isn't it. How in the past "The talk" was a big thing. But now we just somehow pick things up as we age. With Tv, Internet and to be fair a less polite enviroment? lol

I had never "The Talk", I never considered I need to ask my parents anything about the subject, anyways two weeks ago while talking with my mom, from topic to topic she told me that if i'm embarassed to buy myself condoms she'll buy them for me, just to tell her when it's needed, 'cause she said the condoms may expire too, so it's useless to keep them to much :| ( is that true, or she's just teasing me?)
