Tourette's...

I'm wondering about tourette's. I've read some things about it, and I know that it doesn't always involve shouting out curse words and such.

As long as I can remember, I've had this thing about randomly having to stop and spin around in a circle, and I still do it. I have to do it a lot, too. Sometimes if I watch myself in a video, I'll have spun more than I actually thought I did, like sometimes I'm not aware that I'm spinning. Maybe I'm just so used to it, hahaha. I also tend to roll my neck and move my head around a lot. I can't go through a conversation without moving my head around in circular patterns, or jerking it to the side, or making it touch my shoulder and things like that.

If anybody has something like tics or tourette's, do you have some of these particular 'tics' or similar ones?

I think you have a somewhat incomplete picture of Tourette's, as well as what a 'tic' is.

The defining quality of both are that the symptoms are out of the persons awarenes and control. If you're aware that you roll your neck, etc., it's not Tourettes or a tic. If you can stop it or control it (either by yourself, or if someone asks you to), you do not have Tourettes or a tic.
