Here's a weird question. Most people will ask you "I'm insomniac, how can I sleep easier?" I'm asking you : "I'm hypersomniac, how can I sleep less?"
On average, I sleep around 13 hours a day, and it can go up to 15 during epic bouts of sleepiness. As you can see, I'm spending more than half of a given day sleeping!
I've tried everything : super annoying alarm clocks (snooze), getting me to wake up despite epic tiredness (will fall asleep even sooner next day), caffeine (does nothing to me), energy drinks (I sleep anyway)...sooooo
How to sleep less?

The first thing to do is have a thorough eval by an MD. Blood, urine samples, maybe an EEG ('brain wave'), the whole works.
There are a lot of things that can cause hypersomnia, some physical, some psychological, others, completely normal (some people just need more sleep).
Before determining what to do, you should really get this evaluated first to see what's causing it. The best treatments always result from a thorough understanding of the problem.

How do you feel otherwise? What are your moods like generally?

Hypersomnia is a telltale symptom of atypical depression (which is, ironically, the most common form) as opposed to the insomnia present in some people with melancholic depression. Go and see a doctor about your possible depression and don't make the mistake of using stimulants like caffeine to stay awake - they only work short-term.
