How do I keep him awake!?

My friend has a concussion. His brother snapped and pushed him down a flight of stairs (long story). I don't really know much about concussions, but I know that you're not supposed to sleep or you could go into a coma or die or something BAD. I need to keep my friend awake. He's having trouble keeping his eyes open, and he won't call a doctor. He was SUPPOSED to go to the hospital earlier but didn't. I just don't know what to do. I don't know how to keep him awake. I can't help him much over msn, but I have to try. I have to do SOMETHING.
Some help would be really appreciated, thanks.

Uh, definately try and get him to go to a hospital.

Just keep talking to him.

Ask him things that you have to think about. Complex things.

He had to get off the computer. Maybe his parents will take him to a hopsital.
But... what if they don't? I'm completely useless now. I can't help him... I can't...
What if he falls asleep? Oh no...

But yeah, it's good in a way that you are this concerned. It shows you are a good, concerned friend.

But yeah, you just need to calm down a little right now.
