Im 15 and have always been a little (should i say alot) heavy and i have been strugling to lose this extra weight and its been working, but ive heard all around (inclusing doctors) that some of this weight will be dropped during puberty, but ive read the exact oposite, you actually GAIN weight during puberty. Whats true and what isnt... im confused and worried that i might gain all the weight ive tried so hard to lose...

you do gain weight during puberty. and if you think about it, it makes sense. your body is growing, you are getting bigger, so of course you will gain weight. but that doesn't mean you should not do things to control your weight, such as exercising and watching what you eat and things like that.

I'm sure what you have heard wasn't that most people gain weight and most people lose weight, in puberty most people gain weight of course (because of growing, more muscle and stuff) but the other thing you may have heard is that people can get more slender, i've seen that alot with some kids at school then kind of even out as they grow... hope this helps and keep up the good work

Its easier to gain muscle during puberty
muscle weighs more than fat
so technically you gain weight but your healthier
No worries man okay

Typically, what's true is that you are who you are, even during all the changes of puberty. So, if you're overweight as a kid, you're likely to be overweight as a teen. and vice versa. Unless you change something (which often happens during adolescence anyway).
That's b/c there are a lot of factors that go into weight tend to remain pretty fixed (unless you change them). So, diet, and exercise (or general activity level) are most correlated with weight, as well as genetics (which you don't have any control over).
So, i think the confusing picture you get about weight comes from the mixed responses you get to adolescence itself. Those people who do things differently with themselves and their lifestyle tend to have a change in weight, those who continue on, don't.
It's not a fixed thing, it varies depending on those personal factors.
