this might be a wierd question but, is it good to diet whike you're in puberty? I'm not dieting or anything but i had this question in mind because i've heard ppl say it's no good doing it while your body is changing.

It's always good to diet. If your a bit overweight now during puberty your body might portion out, you'll get taller and skinner and your metabolism could speed up. This might not happen to you but it did with me.
I'd go with working out a bit more, your growing up and your going to be a lot more hungry, you need the nutrients and shizz to help you grow.

Good question.
It depends on what people mean by dieting.
If by dieting, you mean barely eating anything besides lettuce and bars and stuff, then yeah, that could be kind of bad on both your growth and how you feel, because you're not getting what you need. That's because we're growing so much, we need a lot of stuff like carbs, protein, vitamins, minerals etc.
But if by dieting, you mean changing your diet in order to be more healthy, then that's fine, as long as you're getting what you need.

It's good to diet when you're over weight, at any age.
the problem with most 'diets' is that they're not sensible, most people want to cut corners and 'crash diet', which doesn't work. Usually, what ends up happening is that in the attempt to rapidly lose weight, people don't eat the right foods, and this can get in the way of the body's healthy functioning, which obviously isn't such a good thing.

Dieting has no affect on puberty ( I think ) but dieting is fine while going through puberty!

Well like was said above you are depriving your self of nutrients and such then yes it is bad. If you are dieting to only healthy things than that is super good. If you are working out that is wonderful too. However like was said above, if you are starving your self and depriving your self then it is not good and may affect puberty.

what im doing is just eat what i want (i just maintain myself to at most 15 lbs over or less) then when im done growing and done school im gonna join a gym or buy a treadmill then like take a couple weeks off work then go super hardcore
