I went to the doctor and gave him a urine sample and he prescribed me some sort of cream to put inside my foreskin.
He rang up earlier and told me the results of my test saying that i have had the infection too long and that the cream won't help.
Going on to say i will have to be circumcised!!! He said the infection is quite bad and that circumcision is the only option.
I am so scared of this. The pain! What it will look like after! OMG i don't want this done but my dad says he has to.
So can you guys help me?! Is there a way out? Whats the pain of circumcision like?
OMG im scared.

First off, calm down, im sure it wont hurt that much, i mean wouldnt they give you any anesthetic? Im sure they would. It will look fine, sure its gonna need time to get used to but itll just be like having your foreskin pulled back the rest of your life. If you think of it its not that bad. Maybe even put you to sleep during the operation, Doctors are expierenced in this sorta thing, there is a very little chance of it bein fucked up. When are you getting it done? GOOD LUCK.

circumsition also can prevent future infections so its healthier to get the foreskin pulled back

Relax, I can tell you anything you need to know about this.
First, the thing about fungal infections under there is that in the warm, moist environment, they really flourish. Fast.
And, fungals take hold by actually eating away at the skin's natural resistance to them. So, once you get one, you're more likely to get a recurrence. (That's why 'Athlete's foot', and 'Jock itch', both fungals, are both difficult to treat, and often come back). Sounds like you've got a nasty fungal that has really taken hold.
Circ really sounds a lot worse than it is. You'll get a lot of pain killers, and you'll feel sore more than anything else for a couple of weeks. It will look OK, it will work OK, and there will be no difference in sexual sensitivity. And, you will not have any problems with tightness, smell, or fungals ever again.
Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal, you'll be fine. If you need more info, feel free to PM me, and don't listen to anyone who does not state they have first hand experience with this (except your doctor!).
Good luck, don't stress about it, it's not a big deal.

i was circumsized at 10 so i can remember what my penis looked, and felt like. it's not going to be a pleasant experience. your penis will swell up, alot. i don't know if you're getting stiches, or a bandage, but i got stiches and that sucked even more. if you get stiches, don't become tempted to take the stiches out before it's fully healed. i did, and now i have scares around the skin before your penis gland. not huge scares, but they're present. i had to put neosporin (spelling?) around my dick head atleast 3 times a day, sensitive to the touch, it wasn't anything to joke around with while putting the cream on. immidiently after the circumsizion surgery i had to pee, went to the bathroom and pissed. it felt like i'd never pee'd before and i was relearning it all over again, the pain was excrusiating.
if circumsizion is the only way, i'd go for it. you definatly don't want to wait, you want to be about as undeveloped as you can get. with a developed penis i'm sure it's 100x worse than what it's going to be.
i hope this doesn't freak you out, it really isn't all the bad! it's just not going to be fun! :yeah:

I was also circumcised at a later age,(14). So like Gookmique I know what and how it was having foreskin.
You shouldn't worry because when they do circumcise you they'll be using anesthetic around the genital area. Also they can put you to sleep if you really want. You shouldn't worry, it's not like they'll butcher it right off, also there are some advantages to being cut.

Here is what it may look like:
You get an iv with a tiny needle, give you some nutrition in the iv, take you to the operating room, squirt something in your iv, have you count back from 10, you make it to 8, clean you penis, do the operation, give you stitches or a bandage, clean it again, give you some strong pain medication, slowly take you off of anesthesia, tyou will wake up, they ask you how you feel, take out IV(tape burn possible), see your family, they ask how you are, you say "bad", you may have to stay overnight, load you into a wheelchair, weel you out to your car, load you in the car, you go home, you sleep on and off for the next liek week or so.

hate to cause more concern but can't that seriously screw you up mentally if you get it done when your older. and the majority of guys are circumstanced so it's not not a normal procedure

I'm sorry to sound like an ass, but do you have ANY idea what you are talking about or did you just decide to try to scare the dude with something you heard from one of your friends!??! And WHO CARES if the majority are circumsized!? Does that mean that un cut are "un cool" or something. Sorry to talk and not help at all. >.<

Getting circumcised at an older age will not do anything to your mental health. There's no proof of any sort on this affecting you mental health. In the end it could be very beneficial both physically and mentally. Since they don't have to worry anymore about the problem they had now.

Well things are changing to the quite opposite of that now. Many have started to complain about getting circumcised. Usually it's the parents decision when the child is born. But more recently many parents have decided to see it as a mutilation to their child without rightful consent. So quite a few would actually prefer being uncircumcised.

Circumcision is actually a very hated topic these days. Its almost like the whole abstinance topic, yet it really isn't. Still it is considered by many to be mutilation of a child, others th ink that its neccessary, I mean whe all have our own opinions, but who are we to judge?

I don't know about my opinion on circumcision right now. My foreskin is still pretty tight although it is getting better. If I have to go through a whole palava with it then I'll circumcise my child as these things are probably genetic, but if I can just fix it normal way I won't because it should be his choice.

No, it won't screw you up mentally. It's a surgery. It would be slightly uncomfortable for a few weeks and then life would go on.
And, no, most men in the world are uncircumcised. Probably about 65% of the current generation of Americans are cut, and that's been falling for a while. Other than Muslim and Jewish countries, the U.S. is the only country to routinely circumcise at birth. So, something like 80%+ of the world's males are uncut.

I don't think they're genetic. I think they tend to be environmental, and almost always treatable (circumcision is required in maybe 1 in 100 cases, or something). Hard to know the exact stats, though.
