So, which one do you have and which do you think is better? I don't have cod4 but i have halo 3 so I can't really say anything but still. All games are getting boring for me so yeah. I've pretty much stop playing games as much as I used to.

COD4 > Halo 3. COD4 has better graphics, a much better campaign, much better [in-game] multiplayer, and a decent array of weapons and specialties. Halo 3 is good, but COD4 is better. I can't comment on online play, because I don't have Live [yet].
But, Resistance 2 pwns all [though I won't be able to get it since its a PS3 exclusive and I don't have a PS3 ]

if you want skillful online, halo 3 is better. in cod 4, you just need to play games and get kills to rank up. in halo 3, you have to win games and boost your highest skill to rank up. thats why people pay more for a level 50 halo 3 account than a 10th prestiege 55 account on cod4

I have to disagree with the graphics. Halo 3's look better in my opinion. And COD 4's game seems unfair to me. If somebady on your team in a kill hog, then you can never get the points you need to rank up

Wrong, COD 4 owns Halo, the online in halo sucks. It doesnt take skill at all.

I agree with ^ Heres what you should do just to prove that halo doesn't really take any skill:
Try playing Counter Strike or any other game like it where the accuracy actually matters for like a few days. Then try playing halo, its really hard because accuracy in halo is constant, you just need a really spammy weapon and you can own anyone. In counter strike, you dont just keep firing sniper shots off untill you've hopefully killed the person, you actually have to aim.

I have to disagree. in COD4, you will eventually hit the top rank, it will just take a while. In Halo 3, you actually need to have skill at the game to hit the highest rank.
And as for the accuracy, you need to be accurate in Halo 3 to win. If you look at the weapons firing, you will see that in order to kill someone, the bullets actuall have to hit. And the shields mean that you need to make sure you hit them everytime you shoot in order to kill them. In COD4, you just need an LMG and all you have to do is spray and pray because bullets kill in like one shot.

Well I personally have never played COD4 but for halo 3, come on, how many times have you had you and some other guy running at each other with ars and then both of you melee and you die? Same with shotguns, 1 shot kills easily. You might have to close but thats all halo is, close range fighting. For shotgun duels, its all just about who shoots first and whether they shoot close enough.

I suck at Halo 3 and I have beaten some of my friends who are really skilled online pretty easily [though not that often]. Halo 3 definitely seems to take a lot less skill than COD4. I'm much better at COD4 than Halo 3, and yet I seem to win more often in Halo 3 than in COD4 [in terms of in-game multiplayer and online].

it's not all shotgun duels. as a matter of fact i have never seen a shotgun duel except when the game was exclusively shotguns. and how can it be all
close range when weapons like the BR and Sniper Rifle do the same amount of damage at both close and long range . shotguns are for people mwho suck at the game. you fall in this category

Halo 3 online play description:
You can go into a match creator alone or with your friends. You win games to gain EXP and win ranked games to get a higher number ranking. In order to reach the highest ranking possible, you need to get aa level 50 in a ranked playlist and earn 600 EXP. Quitting out of games results in a loss of EXP. You get one EXP point for every game you win. If you lose too many games on a skill level, you lose a number level. You have s shield which depletes after every shot you take. The two teams start with the same weapons and have to fight for control of the powerful weapons.
Call of Duty 4 online play description:
You go into a match finder and it is possible to enter a game in progress which can reduce play time. You can enter with friends. You recieve EXP points for getting kills and completing challenges. To reach the highest rank possible, you just have to play alot and get kills. Most of the time it is one hit kill. And you will not always have the same weapons as the other team soo you can be at a disadvantage.

Halo three is way overrated. You need abosolutly NO SKILL Ign,gamestop and all the big name gaming istituitions will tell you that you need no skill. Everyone dies, the wepons are to over powered and the sheilds dont do crap. In COD4 you have to be able to know where people are react quickly and always be hiden. In Halo, you could be running away and you'd get shot and your sheild protects you EVEN IF ITS A HEADSHOT! So its pointless stop trying to put up an arguement that you cant win.

This is about SKILL, nothing to do with levels. I'm talking about killing people, not about levels. Well for an example, shottie snipers on narrows, i got mvp ez on that cause everyones trying to snipe you and you just go up and shoot them in the face with a shotgun or melee them and theyre dead. So are you saying, you'd rather keep on dying because your using a sniper to try and shoot someone whos coming at you with a shotgun pointed at your head and try to kill them rather than take out a shotgun and kill them with 1 shot?
Oh.....and I never really wanted a poll lol but w/e
Oh and this thread is pretty much an argument thread about which is better lol whole point :) argue on

well it proves you have no skill if you use the shotty. if you kill sum1 with a sniper while they're charging you with a shotty, it means you have skill. it all depends on how you play the game that determines if you have skill. Cod4 takes n skill cause u just need to shoot sum1 once with certain guns to kill them. and it is to easy for the pussy players to hide
george

Well then thats the same thing with halo lol sniper rifles :O 1-2 shots and theyre dead so whats the difference? It doesn't prove you have skill if you kill someone upclose with a sniper rifle it just means you can put a dot on someones head :D

Dont use theat word. Plus Halo is so unrealistic to the point where you empty an entire clip into someone and they dont die. So Its a terrible game and dont put up an arguement.
