Gay h8

In my school, there is A LOT of gay hate goin around. every1 h8s hays, and they all make fun of them(of course, i had to be the 1 in all of the kids in my school to be gay...or at least bi). I was wondering if any of you had any tips on coming out to your friends, but not scaring them into not being UR friend...

Anyways, here's some tips I know for sure.

-Practice it out with yourself

-Practice with someone on VT, I'm sure everyone will be more than glad to help no?

-When coming out, select a public place. This may sound weird but by doing this, if they do react oddly to it, then they won't make a big reaction about it since there's many people around and he wouldn't wanna attract attention to themselves.

-If they can't accept you for who you are, then they're ignorant for the fact that you're a friend and nothing should matter.

Your going to have to take his guide with a grain of salt though.

He has good tips but the real coming out guide is yourself. There will be a time and place. There will also be a time when you figure out that you really shouldn't care what other people think of you because they really don't make you. You should just be proud of who you are you know.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, everyone in your school hates gays? No sorry but i don't beleive it.
I think it's like my school and probably most others, when people feel like they HAVE to hate gays and be homophobic.
I don't no why this is but it kinda pisses me off sometimes as i'm like "Why do you find them so strange?, there just people" same with racism, that doesn't make any sense either.
Read Malorie Blackman's 'Nought's and Crosses' and you'll get what i mean.

Oh and to the question, do what the others have said but try and come out to people you've only just met, it apparently boosts your confidence, but i haven't tried it.

I think you should just come out later on. It will be terrible for people to judge you at school. High school is stressful enough as it is.

At my school everyone is very open. We even have a Gay Straigh Aliance. Of course you will always have some people making remarks and stuff like that, but most people just worry about their own stuff.

Well that's tough. But if they are true friends then they wont back away from you. Who knows, maybe they might be gay to. I would try and keep this private between your most trustworthy friends. Hope I have helped there.

Well that sort of contradicts what you are trying to say. You say that if they are true friends then they won't back down, then you say don't tell your friends. I really don't get it. Please fill me in.

How do you know that they won't back down?
There people (supposedly), you can't read them like a book. Just buy your time, wait and gain more confidence in your sexuality. THe more you except it, the easier it will be for others too.
