So, here's the thing
My computer is a peice of crap. I was lookin into buying a new gaming computer that supports Halo 2 on games for windows and world of warcraft with all of the expansions. I was looking for something in the range of $500 to $800. I have a plasma screen for a monitor so that is covered. Thanx 4 the help guys.

Are you confident enough to build a computer or do you want somethat that works out the box?

I would be be able to get my grandfather to do it for me. I would also go as far as to put in a new graphics card and hard drive

Not really. They might be good but your better off with a company that custom builds computers for you. That way you can get a decent gaming computer without all the crap.

Look for a 45nm revision Intel Core 2 Duo such as the e8400, a good, stable board, not necessarily a high end overclocking board because what you're doing doesn't require that, a couple gigs of DDR2 800MHz RAM, and, as Kallvin said, the 9600GT is probably the best budget card. I've got the factory overclocked dual slot MSI card and it runs my games like a dream.
If you want a pre-built try Dell, it really is easy, although it will be more expensive than buying parts and assembling them.

If you have the expertise to upgrade it's probably best to just build yourself.

Alienware is so fucking overpriced. $800 is plenty nowadays.

build it yourself, you can get a computer twice as good for half the cost. newegg.com is the absolute best. building a computer isnt hard, but you probably dont want to. if you have a friend who is good with computers ask him to help, or just your grandfather. newegg ships to me in less than 5 days everytime and they have a great selection too.
as for parts:

I disagree on the graphics card. The factory overclocked 9600GT will have a much longer useful life. The C2D e8400 will outperform the e7200 and also have a longer useful lifespan due to this. The Antec Neo Power 500 is a better, quieter power supply with modular cabling. That RAM is a waste of money because DDR2 800MHz is dirt cheap now. That motherboard doesn't support DDR2 800MHz and it's Micro ATX, so a better one would be, well, better (like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121100). Those fans are also pretty noisy, and you didn't provide a case.
