People don't have to be not voting for him, just because he's African American. I think more people are voting for him just because he is. I guess using your logic, people want an African American president over a female president. That isn't the only reason that people wouldn't vote for Obama. Maybe more republicans use AOL. I honestly could care less because I think he would be a good president. I'm voting for McCain mainly because I lean more to the republican side of things. I also think that with his military experience, he would be able to repair what Bush has done. I can't see how Obama will handle the war better. All he says is that he's going to pull out of Iraq. I don't think it is that simple after the mess Bush has made. I'm just happy that the democratic ticket has Obama running instead of Clinton. Either way, McCAin or Obama, I really won't be happy with the government anyway.

Obama would be good for america and the world at large at the very least i dout he could make it worse

McCain would be good for Canada because the democrats when they have any amount of numbers (already have the senate) tend to be very protectionists
Meaning Canada, US relations will go down the crapper, Obamas already threatened to open NAFTA which would be a biiig mistake because that would start a trade war (Harper's already warned if that happens guaranteed shipments of Canadian gas and oil may not be so guaranteed)
where as McCain in the middle of an election has already made an offical visit to Canada

He talks change and hope, but I don't see it, especially on the environmental front because he supports ethanol. Obama is the lesser of two evils, though. If only Al Gore were his running mate, then his administration would bring about real change on environmental policies.

I dont support either. But if I had to choose one, it would be McCain because my teacher made us do a survey of our beliefs on the issues and matched us with the most reasonable candidate. McCain shared with most of my beliefs.
