Lately...ive been very conscience about my height and stuff...and keep wondering if i finished puberty. Im 17 (since April) 5'7". My mom is 5'3" and father is about 5'11''. Im not sure if im finsihed yet because just recently, i have been getting hair on my chin. How do I know if im a "late bloomer"? I hope to get atleast 5'9" and people i ask who have seen my parents also predict me around that height.
I havent really had a real growth spurt, ive just been growing gradually over the last 4 years (every new school year, i need new clothes, so i grow about 1 inch a year) and now its my senior. How do i know when im having a growth spurt? how many inches do you usually grow during a spurt?
haha sorry for all the questions, im just very curious:(

1. Late bloomer? What else do you have? You sound pretty developed to me. I'm 17 and i'm still growing, I think I'm done getting taller but my beard keeps growing, and more hair is coming in. I think you'll keep on growing, you might be finished with puberty but you'll keep growing regardless.
2. I think you answered your own question here, if you've been growing gradually for the last four years you'll probably continue to grow gradually. Having a growth spurt doesn't feel like anything, and the height you grow probably varies with genetics.

A late bloomer is one who hasn't started puberty by 15-17ish. You are NOT a late bloomer, you sound pretty developed to me. Puberty actually continues into your early to mid 20s, so don't worrry.
And a "growth spurt" would be a period when you suddenly grow more than you usually do, such as you have said that in the last 4 years, you started growing about an inch per year, if that is more than you had grown before the past 4 years, then that could be considered a growth spurt.
Just don't worry man, you'll grow when you grow, and you'll grow as fast as your body wants to grow. There's no changing that.

for a lot of guys (not all) they end up fully grown about a similar height to their father or another male relative. i would say that you might have a few inchs left yet to grow.

The growth spurt is different for everyone.. Some people gradually grow and get a minor spurt. Or you'll be like me and grow 4-6 inches in 1 year
