Braces w/ Rubberbands

So I'm about a month away of getting my braces off that I have had for about 2 years. I went to the ortho today and he put on Rubberbands and expects me to put them on and off 3 times a day. They are 1/8inch! Tiny! Took me an hour to get them on the first time. They mess up my smile, I cant put them on, I have a major lisp now, and I slur my words, and I cant eat anything with them. They say If I don't wear them I will have to have braces longer!
so tell me, do they get better? Thanks

I'd keep the braces longer ..... Also if it ruins your smile and gives you a lisp you should keep the braces longer ! At least with your braces you can smile normally with your braces.... If it takes that long one time there is no point trying to put it in 3 times a day !

I didn't really wear my bands because they got annoying. But I just had to deal with them. I miss my braces somewhat (I looked sexy with them :rolleyes:). Not the bands.

i've been weaaring bands for 2 years because at first i wouldn't wear them. they do get betterr, in fact when i don't ahve them in i get annoyed, wierd.

You mean rubber bands? The ones that hook in the back of your mouth and come up to the front? They get better, pretty quickly. I don't see how it took you an hour to put them in, but maybe. I have had them for almost two years now, and I hardly notice them anymore. I hate when I swallow one, or one breaks and then I only have one in. It's annoying.

Patience is a virtue.

Put up with the rubber bands, they get easier as you get used to them, be patient, listen to your ortho.
