good point. we cant pull out of the country now. whether your for the war or against it, most people realize that theres NO backing up now. if we left their country will disintigrate and fall under terrorist control. anyone who wants to leave now is damning ever person there to a life of uncertainty, hatred, and opression under terrorist rule

indeed, but when you said this:

"so if we do let saddam take over again we will almost guarantee another 9/11 then theres strong chances of not only american citizens but children dying as well"

what about the 1000's of children who have died in Iraq. I would rather see Iraq prevael under democratic rule then any other nation right now. the people deserve it after what they have had to endoure.

Look kid, you suck. Your facts suck (which to this point have only been opinions) and your arguments suck.

Did you ever thing that Bush got reelected because John Kerry is a fucking pussy? The only reason they voted for Bush is because the didn't want Kerry in office. That is how would have votes, and that is how many people voted.
Everyone would have much prefered if there were two different people other than Bush and Kerry, but out of the two, Bush is a better leader.
Got it? Now stop saying "Bush suck because I say so." That doesn't work.

Well guess what? The hurricane was not his problem. It was the Mayor of NO and the Govenor of Louisiana. They were the ones that were suppost to coordinate everything even before the first raindrop hit the ground. They failed. Yet you blame is on Bush. He can not focus on one state while he is running a country with 280,000,000+ people in it.

The war in Iraq lasting this long is UNNECESSARY! The people of Iraq dont want us there, so let them fall back under the clutches of Saddam.
What do you expect us to do? Overthrow a dictator and leave the citizens fending for themselves? We need to stay commited and help rebuild Iraq, no matter how long it takes. We started it, we must finish.
Bush is just wasting American lives....you dont see any of HIS family members over there, do you...no-thats what I thought.

How the hell do you guys think bush is a good president!
He is an average citizen, he is nothing extrordinary! He cant handle america, he cant handle war, he cant handle people, and he sure as hell cant handle our economy....Bill clinton got our gas prices down to 80 cents a gallon where I lived! That is the lowest since the 70's! I know, I know..we werent in war, but we shouldnt be in war considering that They had NO weapons of mass destruction! Bush lied, thousands died!

He is a good president because he is a good leader. He will not back down when people try to intimidate him/America (ie Saddam, Osama).
He can handle America. He has so far, and America had so much trust in him that they elected him for a second term. He can handle war. What you do not get is now that we have over thrown Saddam, we must commit to Iraq. We can and will not just get up and leave. So far he has not plunged our economy into a new depression, so that's a check in my book. With All war, you are going to see a dip in the economy. That's a given.
I admire bill Clinton and I am not denying him anything.
There was credible evidence that there were WMDs in Iraq. British intelligence even said so. Every Agency in America said so. I highly doubt that Bush held a gun to Britains, and American intelligences head and made them lie. Britain is also in this, and they also confirmed the WMDs.
Thousands died in the name of peace. What do you expect, that we go into war and come out without one injury? your expectations are way to high. This is war. This is reality.

Being schizophrenic has NOTHING to do with anyone comprehension skills. I am schizo, and I don't have problems comprhending things. No, Josh is right. "President" Bush put the country in a deficit THAT IS COMMON KNOWLEDGE! Our country is broke, and it said on the World News early this morning (2:05am-4:00am Eastern Time) that not many are enlisting in the U.S. Military. And can you blame them? No one in their right mind would want to serve in Iraq where we don't belong. If we want to defend ourselves against terrorism, then we need to protect places that they could strike, BUT NOT EVERYONE ELSE. That may sound selfish, but AT the same time, we can't save the world.

president bush is not the best prez we have ever had by a long shot, but hes not the worst either. yes we have delved into a sub depression under his administration. But I think the real reason that the county is slowly decaying is because of the current congress. They simply suck for lack of a better word. If they put their foot down and told bush NO. no more troops, no more military funding. Ugh, if they gave a damn about real american society then yes, the united states would be better. frankly I think that the republican party was damned in this campaign, I don't think the united states will have a republican majority for a while after this administration falls.

ok have to chime in here. is bush an idiot...umm yes and no. Yes in that he is doing a lot of stuff i don't agree with, but he has done a lot of things i can agree with. It all seems to come back to the war. Was it the wrong choice? sure but hindsight is 20/20. i think that with the information he had at the time he made the right call, though it is really sad that we found out later the info was wrong...so do the families of close to 2 thousand dead american soldiers. I also don't think we are in a depression. i haven't been in a soup line once, and if my dumb ass can get a job then unemployment can't be that high.

I look at it this way...and have looked at it this way since 2000.

In 2000 we had bush and gore. Hmm do i wanna take it in the butt or in the puss...either way i am going to get screwed. on one hand we have the cowboy bush who has no diction, and on the other hand we have democrat Gore who invented the net. i chose the cowboy.

jump ahead to 2004. Bush who seemed to handle himselve well in the midst of the worse disaster the US has ever really faced, or Kerry who obviously ran a platform based on what the voters wanted to hear and not what was actualy needed for the country. again in the ass or puss?

My personal belief is that the 2004 elections was a set up for the '08 game. The democrats pushed this lifeless backtalker so as to encourage votes Bushward. They knew that if kerry won, that could possibly mean 8 bloody years of drudgery before their canidate of choice could be put into office. They knew that kerry couldn't beat bush, but they also knew that bush was a dolt, and after a nother 4 years no one would want another republican term. This means a shoe in for a democrat candidate! And we all know who they have been grooming for the presidency since early 2001.

That's right. one Mrs Hillary Clinton. Since the closing if his first term this lady has been setting herself up, and image herself as a moderate for like 3 years now. She and the democrats know that if she can make people think she is in the center she can get most of the democrat votes, and a LARGE number of dissgruntled Republican votes.

Of course this is all conjecture but it is looking more and more true. Just watch i bet hillary if the frontrunner right from the get go. So if i am right one could almost blame the left for the crap we are in, by rigging the elections against their man..but that is really right wing conspirocy isn't it?

Chris

Hilary Clinton would make a great president, and she should run for the next election. She'd EASILY be elected.

Look at it this way:

This is a proven fact: 51% of America are females, and 49% are males.

Most females would vote for Hilary: most women love Hilary. She'd be a great candidate. A lot of men would vote for Hilary, too. This country really should have a female president, but one that could really lead America-and she'd be PERFECT for the job.

Only 28% of america think this country is going in a good direction... i think that sums it up. i agree that america is not in good shape right now but all fingers cannot be pointed at bush

No, but 9 out of 10 can. Like Molly said, not many Americans approve of his handling of America. I believe that about sums it up, also

Bush is a grandma's cunt! He has taken the most vacation time of any president and he has made our economy turn to shit. I just cant wait to laugh at gas prices!! Dick cheney IS the leading force behind bush, time magazine called him the most powerful vice president ever. So I guess I shouldnt say its all Bush's fault...hahaha who am I kidding he cant make any decisions for himself and dick might leave during mid term(thats what i heard) And its funny because bush still trusts dick to make good decisions. Bush is soo incredibly blind! good lord I just cant possibly see the stupidness that people must have to love him. you are so incredibly blind because you dont know what the hell you're talking about. and i would bet money on that. half the people on this website that criticize bush dont have any basis or have any knowledge about how bush is really running this country. god i cant stand ignorant assholes.

Debating about bush on this website should be banned. More than half the people are just saying things because their parents didn't vote for those people. Less bashing and more evidence would make sense.

No, but you could just stop it all (except for the cancer part) instead of whinning to us.

* In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their job.
*Cut unemployment benefits for more out of work Americans than any president in US history.
* Set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12 month period.
* Appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history.
* Set the record for the least amount of press conferences than any president since the advent of television.
* Signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any president in US history.
* Presided over the biggest energy crises in US history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.
* Presided over the highest gasoline prices in US history and refused to use the national reserves as past presidents have.

* Dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.
* My presidency is the most secretive and un-accountable of any in US history.
* Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (the 'poorest' multi-millionaire, Condoleeza Rice has an Exxon oil tanker named after her).

* Withdrew from the World Court of Law.
* Refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.
* First president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 US elections).
* All-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.
* My biggest life-time campaign contributor presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).
* Spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.
* First president in US history to unilaterally attack a sovereign nation against the will of the United Nations and the world community.
* First president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)
* First US president to establish a secret shadow government.
* Took the biggest world sympathy for the US after 911, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).
* With a policy of 'dis-engagement' created the most hostile Israeli-Palestine relations in at least 30 years.
* First US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.
* First US president in history to have the people of South Korea more threatened by the US than their immediate neighbor, North Korea.
* Changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.
* Set all-time record for number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling huge investments in corporations bidding for government contracts.
* Failed to fulfill my pledge to get Osama Bin Laden 'dead or alive'.
* Failed to capture the anthrax killer who tried to murder the leaders of our country at the United States Capital building. After 18 months I have no leads and zero suspects.
* In the 18 months following the 911 attacks I have successfully prevented any public investigation into the biggest security failure in the history of the United States.
* Removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.
* In a little over two years created the most divided country in decades, possibly the most divided the US has ever been since the civil war.
* Entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.

Kolte, nice info. Secondly NICk, I get all my info from watching cnn. Also nick, you must be as stupid as shit for not knowing that english and science majors usually vote for bush! Good lord, think it through!
My mom works for the centers of disease control in atlanta! She gets to see bush nearly every month. Please tell me you have heard of CDC, it is a huge company/business. She was in the lab when they first identified the "AIDS scare." She knows for a fact that nearly all of the workers at CDC and the majority of government workers voted for Kerry in 2004 and have been voting democraticly for the past 10 years!

The website Othello got his information from must have been designed by a 3 year old girl. Observe:

http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/1048/georgewbushaccomplishmentsaspr.jpg

Sorry i shouldnt be making fun of the shitty places you get your facts from... but meh whatever i thought it was funny. I have a more accurate and complete list of george bush's accomplishments:

Abortion & Traditional Values

1. Banned Partial Birth Abortion — by far the most significant roll-back of abortion on demand since Roe v. Wade.
2. Reversed Clinton's move to strike Reagan's anti-abortion Mexico Policy.
3. By Executive Order (EO), reversed Clinton's policy of not requiring parental consent for abortions under the Medical Privacy Act.
4. By EO, prohibited federal funds for international family planning groups that provide abortions and related services.
5. Upheld the ban on abortions at military hospitals.
6. Made $33 million available for abstinence education programs in 2004.
7. Supports the Defense of Marriage Act — and a Constitutional amendment saying marriage is between one man and one woman.
8. Requires states to conduct criminal background checks on prospective foster and adoptive parents.
9. Requires districts to let students transfer out of dangerous schools.
10. Requires schools to have a zero-tolerance policy for classroom disruption (reintroducing discipline into classrooms).
11. Signed the Teacher Protection Act, which protects teachers from lawsuits related to student discipline.
12. Expanded the role of faith-based and community organizations in after-school programs.

Budget, Taxes & Economy

1. Signed two income tax cuts, one of which was the largest dollar-value tax cut in world history.
2. Supports permanent elimination of the death tax.
3. Turned around an inherited economy that was in recession, and deeply shocked as a result of the 9/11 attacks.
4. Is seeking legislation to amend the Constitution to give the president line-item veto authority.
5. In process of permanently eliminating IRS marriage penalty.
6. Increased small business incentives to expand and to hire new people.
7. Initiated discussion on privatizing Social Security and individual investment accounts.
8. Killed Clinton's "ergonomic" rules that OSHA was about to implement; rules would have shut down every home business in America.
9. Passed tough new laws to hold corporate criminals to account as a result of corporate scandals.
10. Reduced taxes on dividends and capital gains.
11. Signed trade promotion authority.
12. Reduced and is working to ultimately eliminate the estate tax for family farms and ranches.
13. Fight Europe's ban on importing biotech crops from the United States.
14. Exempt food from unilateral trade sanctions and embargoes.
15. Provided $20 million to states to help people with disabilities work from home.
16. Created a fund to encourage technologies that help the disabled.
17. Increased the annual contribution limit on Education IRA's from $500 to $2,000 per child.
18. Make permanent the $5,000 adoption tax credit and provide $1 billion over five years to increase the credit to $10,000.
19. Grant a complete tax exemption for prepaid or college tuition savings plans.
20. Reduced H1B visas from a high of 195,000 per year to 66,000 per year.

Character & Conduct as President

1. Changed the tone in the White House, restoring HONOR and DIGNITY to the presidency.
2. Has reintroduced the mention of God and faith into public discourse.
3. Handled himself with enormous courage, dignity, grace, determination, and leadership in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 hijackings and anthrax attacks. He almost single-handedly held this country together during those searing days:

Just three days after the attacks, in his address at the National Cathedral, the President reassured the nation when he said: "War has been waged against us by stealth and deceit and murder. This nation is peaceful, but fierce when stirred to anger. This conflict was begun on the timing and terms of others. It will end in a way, and at an hour, of our choosing."

On Friday, September 14, 2001, President Bush visited Ground Zero. Standing on a crushed and burned fire engine atop the smoldering pile at Ground Zero, he put his arm around a retired firefighter who had volunteered to help, and began speaking to the crowd. Rescue workers shouted that they could not hear him. Someone handed him a small American flag and bullhorn. The President spontaneously shouted: "I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon." The crowd roared with cheers and chants of "USA! USA! USA!" Then he raised that American flag and rallied a nation.

Education & Employment Training

1. Signed the No Child Left Behind Act, delivering the most dramatic education reforms in a generation (challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations). The very liberal California Teachers union is currently running radio ads against the accountability provisions of this Act.
2. Announced "Jobs for the 21st Century," a comprehensive plan to better prepare workers for jobs in the new millennium by strengthening post-secondary education and job training, and by improving high school education.
3. Is working to provide vouchers to low-income students in persistently failing schools to help with costs of attending private schools. (Blocked in the Senate.)
4. Requires annual reading and math tests in grades three through eight.
5. Requires states to participate in the National Assessment of Education Progress, or an equivalent program, to establish a national benchmark for academic performance.
6. Requires school-by-school accountability report cards.
7. Established a $2.4 billion fund to help states implement teacher accountability systems.
8. Increased funding for the Troops-to-Teachers program, which recruits former military personnel to become teachers.

Environment & Energy

1. Killed the Kyoto Global Warming Treaty.
2. Submitted a comprehensive Energy Plan (awaits Congressional action). The plan works to develop cleaner technology, produce more natural gas here at home, make America less dependent on foreign sources of energy, improve national grid, etc.
3. Established a $10 million grant program to promote private conservation initiatives.
4. Significantly eased field-testing controls of genetically engineered crops.
5. Changed parts of the Forestry Management Act to allow necessary cleanup of the national forests in order to reduce fire danger.
6. Part of national forests cleanup: Restricted judicial challenges (based on the Endangered Species Act and other challenges), and removed the need for an Environmental Impact Statement before removing fuels/logging to reduce fire danger.
7. Killed Clinton's CO2 rules that were choking off all of the electricity surplus to California.
8. Provided matching grants for state programs that help private landowners protect rare species.

Defense & Foreign Policy

1. Successfully executed two wars in the aftermath of 9/11/01: Afghanistan and Iraq. 50 million people who had lived under tyrannical regimes now live in freedom.
2. Saddam Hussein is now in prison. His two murderous sons are dead. All but a handful of the regime's senior members were killed or captured.
3. Leader by leader and member by member, al Maida is being hunted down in dozens of countries around the world. Of the senior al Qaeda leaders, operational managers, and key facilitators the U.S. Government has been tracking, nearly two-thirds have been taken into custody or killed. The detentions or deaths of senior al Qaeda leaders, including Khalid Shaykh Muhammad, the mastermind of 9/11, and Muhammad Atef, Osama bin Laden's second-in-command until his death in late 2001, have been important in the War on Terror.
4. Disarmed Libya of its chemical, nuclear and biological WMD's without bribes or bloodshed.
5. Continues to execute the War On Terror, getting worldwide cooperation to track funds/terrorists. Has cut off much of the terrorists' funding, and captured or killed many key leaders of the al Qaeda network.
6. Initiated a comprehensive review of our military, which was completed just prior to 9/11/01, and which accurately reported that ASYMMETRICAL WARFARE capabilities were critical in the 21st Century.
7. Killed the old US/Soviet Union ABM Treaty that was preventing the U.S. from deploying our ABM defenses.
8. Has been one of the strongest, if not THE strongest friend Israel has ever hand in the U.S. presidency.
9. Part of the coalition for an Israeli/Palestinian "Roadmap to Peace," along with Great Britain, Russia and the EU.
10. Pushed through THREE raises for our military. Increased military pay by more than $1 billion a year.
11. Signed the LARGEST nuclear arms reduction in world history with Russia.
12. Started withdrawing our troops from Bosnia, and has announced withdrawal of our troops from Germany and the Korean DMZ.
13. Prohibited putting U.S. troops under U.N. command.
14. Paid back UN dues only in return for reforms and reduction of U.S. share of the costs.
15. Earmarked at least 20 percent of the Defense procurement budget for next-generation weaponry.
16. Increased defense research and development spending by at least $20 billion from fiscal 2002 to 2006.
17. Ordered a comprehensive review of military weapons and strategy.
18. Ordered a review of overseas deployments.
19. Ordered renovation of military housing. The military has already upgraded about 10 percent of its inventory and expects to modernize 76,000 additional homes this year.
20. Is working to tighten restrictions on military-technology exports.
21. Brought back our EP-3 intel plane and crew from China without any bribes or bloodshed.

Globalization & Internationalism

1. Challenged the United Nations to live up to their responsibilities and not become another League of Nations (in other words, showed the UN to be completely irrelevant).
2. Killed U.S. involvement in the International Criminal Court.
3. Told the United Nations we weren't interested in their plans for gun control (i.e., the International Ban on Small Arms Trafficking Treaty).*
4. The only President since the founding of the UN to essentially tell that organization it is irrelevant. He said: "The conduct of the Iraqi regime is a threat to the authority of the United Nations, and a threat to peace. Iraq has answered a decade of UN demands with a decade of defiance. All the world now faces a test, and the United Nations a difficult and defining moment. Are Security Council resolutions to be honored and enforced, or cast aside without consequence? Will the United Nations serve the purpose of its founding, or will it be irrelevant?" We all know the outcome and the answer.
5. Told the Congress and the world, "America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country."

Government Reform

1. Improved government efficiency by putting hundreds of thousands of jobs put up for bid. This weakens public-sector unions and cuts undeserved pay raises.
2. Initiated review of all federal agencies with the goal of eliminating federal jobs (completed September 2003) in an effort to reduce the size of the federal government while increasing private sector jobs.
3. Led the most extensive reorganization the Federal bureaucracy in over 50 years: After 9/11, condensed 20+ overlapping agencies and their intelligence sectors into one agency, the Department of Homeland Security.*
4. Ordered each agency to draft a five-year plan to restructure itself, with fewer managers.
5. Converted federal service contracts to performance-based contracts wherever possible so that the contractor has measurable performance goals.

Health

1. Strengthen the National Health Service Corps to put more physicians in the neediest areas, and make its scholarship funds tax-free.
2. Double the research budget of the National Institutes of Health.
3. Signed Medicare Reform, which includes:

A 10-year privatization option.

Prescription drug benefits: Prior to this reform, Medicare paid for extended hospital stays for ulcer surgery, for example, at a cost of about $28,000 per patient. Yet Medicare would not pay for the drugs that eliminate the cause of most ulcers, drugs that cost about $500 a year. Now, drug coverage under Medicare will allow seniors to replace more expensive surgeries and hospitalizations with less expensive prescription medicine.

More health care choices: As President Bush stated, "…when seniors have the ability to make choices, health care plans within Medicare will have to compete for their business by offering higher quality service [at lower cost]. For the seniors of America, more choices and more control will mean better health care. These are the kinds of health care options we give to the members of Congress and federal employees. What's good for members of Congress is also good for seniors.

New Health Savings Accounts: Effective January 1, 2004, Americans can set aside up to $4,500 every year, tax free, to save for medical expenses. Depending on your tax bracket, that means you'll save between 10 to 35 percent on any costs covered by money in your account. Every year, the money not spent would stay in the account and gain interest tax-free, just like an IRA. These accounts will be good for small business owners, and employees. More businesses can focus on covering workers for major medical problems, such as hospitalization for an injury or illness. At the same time, employees and their families will use these accounts to cover doctors visits, or lab tests, or other smaller costs. Some employers will contribute to employee health accounts. This will help more American families get the health care they need at the price they can afford.

Homeland Security, Border Enforcement & Immigration

1. *See Government Reform above. Under President Bush's leadership, America has made an unprecedented commitment to homeland security.
2. Has CONSTRUCTION in process on the first 10 ABM silos in Alaska so that America will have a defense against North Korean nukes. Has ordered national and theater ballistic missile defenses to be deployed by 2004.
3. Announced a 9.7% increase in government-wide homeland security funding in his FY 2005 budget, nearly tripling the FY 2001 levels (excluding the Department of Defense and Project BioShield).
4. Before DHS was created, there were inspectors from three different agencies of the Federal Government and Border Patrol officers protecting our borders. Through DHS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) now consolidates all border activities into a single agency to create "one face at the border." This not only better secures the borders of the United States, but it also eliminates many of the inefficiencies that occurred under the old system. With over 18,000 CBP inspectors and 11,000 Border Patrol agents, CBP has 29,000 uniformed officers on our borders.
5. The Border Patrol is continuing installation of monitoring devices along the borders to detect illegal activity.
6. Launched Operation Tarmac to investigate businesses and workers in the secure areas of domestic airports and ensure immigration law compliance. Since 9/11, DHS has audited 3,640 businesses, examined 259,037 employee records, arrested 1,030 unauthorized workers, and participated in the criminal indictment of 774 individuals.
7. Since September 11, 2001, the Coast Guard has conducted more than 124,000 port security patrols, 13,000 air patrols, boarded more than 92,000 vessels, interdicted over 14,000 individuals attempting to enter the United States illegally, and created and maintained more than 90 Maritime Security Zones.
8. Announced the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), an internet-based system that is improving America's ability to track and monitor foreign students and exchange visitors. Over 870,000 students are registered in SEVIS. Of 285 completed field investigations, 71 aliens were arrested.
9. This week, the US-VISIT program began to digitally collect biometric identifiers to record the entry and exit of aliens who travel into the U.S on a visa. Together with the standard information, this new program will confirm compliance with visa and immigration policies.
10. Eliminated INS bureaucratic redundancies and lack of accountability.
11. Split the Immigration and Naturalization Service into two agencies: one to protect the border and interior, the other to deal with naturalization.
12. Signed the workplace verification bill to prevent hiring of illegal aliens.
13. Established a six-month deadline for processing immigration applications.
14. Information regarding nearly 100% of all containerized cargo is carefully screened by DHS before it arrives in the United States. Higher risk shipments are physically inspected for terrorist weapons and contraband prior to being released from the port of entry. Advanced technologies are being deployed to identify warning signs of chemical, biological, or radiological attacks. Since September 11, 2001, hundreds of thousands of first responders across America have been trained to recognize and respond to the effects of a WMD attack.

Judiciary & Tort Reform

1. Is urging federal liability reform to eliminate frivolous lawsuits.
2. Killed the liberal ABA's unconstitutional role in vetting federal judges. The Senate is supposed to advise and consent, not the ABA.
3. Is nominating strong, conservative judges to the judiciary.
4. Supports class action reform bill which limits lawyer fees so that more settlement money goes to victims.

Politics

1. His leadership resulted in Republican gains in the House and Senate, solidifying Republican control of both houses of Congress and the presidency.
2. Signed an EO enforcing the Supreme Court's Beck decision regarding union dues being used for political campaigns against individual's wishes.

Second Amendment

1. Ordered Attorney General Ashcroft to formally notify the Supreme Court that the OFFICIAL U.S. government position on the 2nd Amendment is that it supports INDIVIDUAL rights to own firearms, and is NOT a Leftist-imagined "collective" right.
2. Signed TWO bills into law that arm our pilots with handguns in the cockpit.
3. Currently pushing for full immunity from lawsuits for our national gun manufacturers.
4. *See Globalization & Internationalism.

Traditional Values, Compassion & Volunteerism

1. Endorses and promotes "The Responsibility Era." President Bush often speaks of the necessity of personal responsibility and civic volunteerism. He said, "In a compassionate society, people respect one another and take responsibility for the decisions they make in life. My hope is to change the culture from one that has said, if it feels good, do it; if you've got a problem, blame somebody else — to one in which every single American understands that he or she is responsible for the decisions that you make; you're responsible for loving your children with all your heart and all your soul; you're responsible for being involved with the quality of the education of your children; you're responsible for making sure the community in which you live is safe; you're responsible for loving your neighbor, just like you would like to be loved yourself."
2. Started the USA Freedom Corps, the most comprehensive clearinghouse of volunteer opportunities ever offered. For the first time in history, Americans can enter geographic information about where they want to get involved, such as state or zip code, as well as areas of interest ranging from education to the environment, and they can access volunteer opportunities offered by more than 50,000 organizations across the country and around the world.
3. Established the The White House Office and the Centers for the Faith-Based and Community Initiative — located in seven Federal agencies. The faith-based initiative supports the essential work of these important organizations. The goal is to make sure that grassroots leaders can compete on an equal footing for federal dollars, receive greater private support, and face fewer bureaucratic barriers. Work focuses on at-risk youth, ex-offenders, the homeless and hungry, substance abusers, those with HIV/AIDS, and welfare-to-work families.
4. The White House released a guidebook fully describing the Administration's belief that faith-based groups have a Constitutionally-protected right to maintain their religious identity through hiring — even when Federal funds are involved.
5. Issued an EO implementing the Supreme Court's Olmstead ruling, which requires moving disabled people from institutions to community-based facilities when possible.
6. Increased funding for low-interest loan programs to help people with disabilities purchase devices to assist them.
7. Revised the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Section 8 rent subsidies to disabled people, permitting them to use up to a year's worth of vouchers to finance down payments on homes. HUD has started pilot programs in 11 states.
8. Committed US funds to purchase medicine for millions of men, women and children now suffering with AIDS in Africa.
9. Heeding the words of our own Declaration of Independence, the president laid out the non-negotiable demands of human dignity for all people everywhere. On January 29, 2002, he said, "No nation owns these aspirations, and no nation is exempt from them. We have no intention of imposing our culture. But America will always stand firm for the non-negotiable demands of human dignity." As stated by the President, they are a virtual manifesto of conservative principles:

Equal Justice

Freedom of Speech

Limited Government Power

Private Property Rights

Religious Tolerance

Respect for Women

Rule of Law

Half of these "accomplishments" that you named could be considered negative. I know that at least one of them go against your own values...

THATS WHY MY LIST IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN OTHELLO'S

its not lopsided propagandist bullshit, it shows BOTH sides and allows you to draw your OWN conclusions. i dont agree with a lot of the things the president has done, but i support him because i love this country

Sorry i shouldnt be making fun of the shitty places you get your facts from... but meh whatever i thought it was funny. I have a more accurate and complete list of george bush's accomplishments:

6. Increased small business incentives to expand and to hire new people.

10. Reduced taxes on dividends and capital gains.
11. Signed trade promotion authority.
12. Reduced and is working to ultimately eliminate the estate tax for family farms and ranches.

2. Signed TWO bills into law that arm our pilots with handguns in the cockpit.

We are in debt 8 trillion dollars, I think that says somting. Bush removed the un elections board, I think that says somthing. Bush made giant tax cuts for people who make over 100000 dollars a year, I think thats retarted when 80 percent of america makes less then 100000 dollars. I do not think that bush is a good person because he had no reason for attacking Iraq, a democrocy. I think he made a mistake with katrina, I think he made a mistake with 911. I think that hes a bad president. You say you have given me facts, show them. I have not see them. I have seen you badmouth democratic people. I have not seen you support bush with factual information.

Ok, you must not get something. He is not narrow minded. All he is doing is supporting his argument.

Now what you could have done instead of bashing him and calling kolte narrow minded is you could have made a list of what bush has done good.
But you didn't. You just resort to namecalling.
That is narrowmindedness.

2. Announced "Jobs for the 21st Century," a comprehensive plan to better prepare workers for jobs in the new millennium by strengthening post-secondary education and job training, and by improving high school education.

8. Increased funding for the Troops-to-Teachers program, which recruits former military personnel to become teachers.

3. Established a $10 million grant program to promote private conservation initiatives.
4. Significantly eased field-testing controls of genetically engineered crops.
5. Changed parts of the Forestry Management Act to allow necessary cleanup of the national forests in order to reduce fire danger.

Rule of Law

....................................................................I don't believe anyone would really think that.

And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon." The crowd roared with cheers and chants of "USA! USA! USA!" Then he raised that American flag and rallied a nation.

He visited it 3 days after it happend. what an ass. Of course when He got news that It happened he kept on reading a childrens book to the class he was visiting.

No cyrus.....Our country is not makeing more then it spends. I don't know where you heard that. The bush administration is not makeing more then it spends.
You're a dirty liar and i hate liars

As of the second quarter of 2005, we have:

11.089 trillian dollars. Source-Bureau of Economic Analysis

Debt:

7.987 trillian dollars. Source-Bureau of Public Debt

My calcuations:

3.102 trillian dollars left for spending.

oh and by the way your figures for how much money debt is per individual are bloated beacuse you combined public debt with intragovernmental holdings. PUBLIC DEBT happens to be 4.616 trillian, which when divided by our population comes out to around 15 grand per person (a lot smaller than the 27 grand you claimed earlier).

Oh and my debt figures are slightly smaller than yours because they are from the 14th of October, the most recent time they have been officially calculated. Your numbers are innacurate because you got it from some shitty unofficial website that uses javascript to calculate the current debt with math formulas.

U.S. Military Deaths Reach 2,000 in Iraq
Oct 25, 11:02 PM EDT
By ROBERT H. REID - Associated Press Writer

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) -- The American military death toll in the Iraq war reached 2,000 Tuesday with the announcements of three more deaths, including an Army sergeant who died of wounds at a military hospital in Texas and two Marines killed last week in fighting west of Baghdad.

The 2,000 mark was reached amid growing doubts among the American public about the Iraq conflict, launched in March 2003 to destroy Saddam Hussein's alleged weapons of mass destruction. None was ever found.

I didn't put the whole article, but I think this about says it all.......

Damn. What do you expect, war is when we dance in a feild of tulips?!

Look at this:

Within 24 Minutes 2000 people will die in the world.
In one day 120,000 people die in the world
roughly, we have been in iraq since 2003 (2 1/2 years)
Since then, 2,000 soldiers have died.
In 2 1/2 years time 108,000,000 have died in the world.
I would say 2000 soldiers in 2 1/2 years is a good number, dont you?

in all due respect all those people who die are down to natural causes or other things taht are out of our control. its the natural the thing to happen in most cases however that extra 2000 soldiers there is unnatural they shouldnt have been killed because they should not have been put there in the first place, and i certainly wouldnt call it a good number and i ask you not to be so blase about death.

Yes, I understand that on a massive scale the deaths arent noticed. But those peoples lives were cut short. And I know this is gonna sound horrid. very VERY horrid. but I hope suddam hussian gets off. It set free, the trial just lets him go and the government falles back into his hands, and the people praise him. That would shut america up. knowing that all those people died for no reason. O, lets get rid of guns, because they have cut many peoples lives short that dont deserve to die. O, lets ban cars and motorcycles and airplanes because they cut people down in their prime when they dont deserve it.
and i certainly wouldnt call it a good number and i ask you not to be so blase about death.

ok firstly where did i say get rid of guns? i dont remember saying anything of the such. what i was saying is that the us army should not have been in iraq at all it was none of their business and did not have the backing of the un, therefore illegal. tahts what i mean when i say it was unnatural.

and 2000 is not a good number of dead people, 1000 is not a good number, 500 is not a good number, 10 is not a good number the only good number is 0. i am sure that the familes who went through the pain and suffering of loosing a close family member would also disagree with you saying 2000 is a good number.

they are an organisation to help protect the common good, if you remember your history they were set up to prevent another world war. so if all memeber countries tried to resolve their differences through it things will be fine.

no they are not casualties they are fatalities. casualities are completly different. proud? whether they are proud or not is beside the point i am trying to tell you that being blase like you are about death is not a nice thing, if someone verty close to you died there i am sure you wouldnt be so blase.

It's quite odd, almost amusing to see everyone get worked up over this over and over again. Is this why alot of republicans hate democrats? Becuase that's becoming a pattern here. You seriously gonna mess up a friendship over who they support in the US government. We all need to understand that everyone thinks differently. Now debate, don't fight.

Death is life. Whether you die now or in 20 years, you still die. If Someone in my family died, sure I would be sad, but I would realize, thats just the way it is.

9/11 yielded over 2700 deaths and was caused by terrorist activity

in 2.5 years there have been 2000 deaths to stop the 2700 from happening again

theres no telling how many people have died from saddam not liking them and having them executed

i say the war is for a good cause and in the end will turn out as a good cause

any parent who gets mad at the government for losing their child is a selfish prick because their own sons and daughters put their lives on the line on purpose. if the people in the army itself dont think its a pointless war, than it means absolutely nothing that you do because you claim to be fighting in their name

youre talking about almost every single person in the armed forces. they are committing their lives to die for whatever reason the united states sees necessary. theyve made that commitment already. its pathetic when people who havent made that commitment try to protest in the name of people that have

but thats not how you do things in this world. and its spelt zimbabwe. you cant go around deciding we dont like this so we will change it to our line of thinking. the people of the country when they finally have had enough will then decide time to take action, and dont tell me that will never happen. the usa was once under british rule but you decided enough was enough and kicked them out as did we. its when they decide to change things should outsiders offer help. but not before.

Sadaam husein (spellings no barrier for me bitch  haha, I think I spelt it wrong) wasn't excactly killing 9,000,000 people in the means of a decade. Yes he was horrible to his people but that's quite common in the middle east, people are fucking killing eachother over there, and none of the sides want to stop, so now we're joined in this fight and we don't know when it'll end.

Matt, that's very blunt. You'd actually do that, even if it's not your country and your hurting people? You'd really want to do that?

Okay, well I'm not a very pro-bush person...I never liked him much..but to be in his situation has to be hard...when you're good everything is fine but when you mess up or something goes wrong your flaws are magnified by like a fwillion. I'm sure he's not as bad as I like to think that he is..but he's certainly not as good as he could be either.

yes he did invade kuwait and the usa sorted that problem out, last decade. but the latest invasion was uncalled for, george bush was only finishing what his father before him failed to do.
