Please forgive me if a thread similar to this has been posted, I was too lazy to use the search button, get mad at me later for that :).
Since Gay Marriage is now legal where I live. :D , I would like to know what other people think that are in areas in which Gay Marriage isn't legal. This is also for people who live in areas in which it is.
I just want to know are you against it, or are you supportive for it.

Well, I am very supportive of it. There is no reason for it to be illegal anywhere. If you two love eachother, then go and get married. I don't think it should strictly be between a man and a woman. But just two people who really love eachother.

gay marriage is legal where i am too. im supportive of it. i dont think that the government should control who can and cant get married. if they arent the ones getting married, why are they so concerned about who is?

Well, the sun still came up today where I live, so I guess it's not such a big deal.
Live and let live, I always said. What 2 consenting people do in private is their own business, it's the essence of freedom, allowing others to make choices based on their own needs without outside interference.

In my country it is not legal, but is wanted greatly by the LGBTQ community. On Saturday, at Dublin Pride 2008, the theme was "Always a brides made; never a bride". This highlights, the fact that civil partnerships here are not recognized but highly wanted. In a court case last year, a lesbian couple, married in England, sued their company for firing them because their partnership is not recognized by the Irish government. I, personally, as a member of the LGBTQ society would like to see gay, and lesbian marriage allow in Ireland, very soon, I would like to have the option to marry whom ever I fall in love with.

The way I see it, marriage is marriage, whether it's between man and woman, man and man or woman and woman. It's a further step that both people take when they want to take their relationship to the highest level.

My cousin is married to his boyfriend. I support gay marriage but I'm not really a fan of it.

I'm rather quiet on this matter, I'm into politics and I think people should be allowed to do what they want to do. I have no problem with it, I just dont feel like its a major problem like alot of people do.

I feel that the government cant limit people to get married to who they want to. Its a choice...while i dont support it....its still a choice

If 2 people love each other, it is wrong to forbid them to "take it to the next level". I am gay(i think...), and I have a crush(i think) on my BFF, and it is sad that I can tell him with the gay hate, and the forbidden gay marriage(well, not for 5 years...)
