Ok so a couple of months ago I met this girl at a party and we have been talking on AIM/Myspace for the remainder of time.
Everytime I start talking to her the conversation tends to be very boring and unexciting. What should I do to make the conversations more active and exciting? What are good topics to let her know im interested in her?

so for me its the boring and unexciting conversation that works for me and my gf. to let her know you are interested, you should be asking her questions and getting to know her better. that would definetly be my first step. if you want to hook up with them, then you have to know each other first.

What type of questions should I ask?
Like "What are your interests?"

that would be a start. also things like "what things do you like/dislike?", "what type of things do you do for fun?". just stuff like that. just try and think of things that you actually want to know about her.

Most people like to talk about themselves, so anything that encourages that will work. Open ended questions, like 'Tell me about your day" work best, b/c they have to be answered with more than 1 word. Then, pick up on some thing she says with another open ended question. Be sure to show enthusiasm and interest, too.

ask her things such as
1. what do you like doing ?
2. what kind of person you like to have as a friend ?
3. ask her about herself !

thats all i can say really

A nice ice breaker for me is the o' so magical Random Question Game! The rules are simple, it is truth or dare without the dares; you take turns answering then asking a question.
Keep the questions simple to avoid awkward moments.

Some good examples include:
What is your favorite color?
What is your favorite candy?
What is your favorite food?
What is your favorite movie?
What is your favorite song?
What is your favorite book?
and so on and so forth..

Hope this helps :)

Start to understand what her likes and dislikes are. The more that you have in common, its more possible that you guys will develop some chemistry.

You see she doesn't know that much about you if you don't talk to her. She will get to know what things you think are funny are unfunny. Some habits that you both have. Things like that.

Just remember to not overdo it. Don't start asking inappropriate or sexual questions that she won't like. Because she doesn't know you and she will probably ignore talking to you completely.

This can go whether talking in real life or on the internet. But I highly suggest that you have a conversation with somebody that you know in person. It could be anyone behind that computer.

That's all I have for right now.

I agree with deschain. Not all girls want to talk about that. Try and see if you have anything in common and work from there. Worked for me. :P

Reminisce over old times that have passed, and funny exiting weird things that happened to you in the past, and joke around about funny things. Spice the conversation up a bit to the point where she laughs. Laughter always makes it fun.
