puberty

why do some people say puberty may be a rough or difficult time and hard to deal with your body changing. I have loved puberty so far(i am only 13 though) the changes have been great(i love my new voice and body.) I know this thread is kinda stupid but im bored and also curious about that.

actually that's a really good question. I have no problem with puberty, even with the zits and being awkward for awhile and stuff. I like puberty because there's so many improvements going on

but girls...they start their hormone and menstrual thing so they have a really good reason to hate it :P

Haha, very true. :D I have no problem at all. Meh, probably 'cause some people don't like the whole awkward stage. Gotta have some bad to have some good right? Ah well, eveyone is different.

puberty hasn't bothered me much, except for my voice and my face. my voice has pretty much already changed and in the face i look like i'm about 17 apparently.

Puberty has been great to me to so far. Th only exeption was the zits.

Its other aspects of puberty there talking about
Increased chances of depression, social pressure, confusion, drugs, gay? straight? etc..

Mine was rough
I had severe depression
I was hospitalized constantly for "severe self mutilation"
I attempted suicide
I had severe insomnia staying up for upwards of 52hrs at a go then only being able to get 4hrs sleep
etc...

that's exactly why i hate it....

that and i started 'devloping' at age eight....haha (overweight child) ohwell, i was the most 'gangly at about nine, so i'm 13 and have normal adult perportions lol


oh, and the fact that the boys don't catch up until highschool (so i'm told)

Puberty is different from person to person. Everyone has to go through it at some stage in life.......
Also its hormones, mood swings, zits or pimples !

Well, it was hell for me up until I was 16...

- Went with undiagnosed Bipolar Disorder until the end of my freshman year which caused severe insomnia since I was manic most of the time... I'd stay up for a week at a time, then got little sleep and repeat the cycle.
- Self Mutilation... it didn't help that virtually everybody called me a dumbass when I was found out
- Step sister from hell: stole my money, lit my hair on fire while I was asleep before and used to beat the shit out of me just because she felt like it.
- Attempted suicide twice, one being in a right state of mind, the other I was hallucinating because I see things when I'm not on my meds. Nobody else in real life knows this at all except my best friend.
- From age 11 to 15 I lived all alone... mom would come home once a week to pay the bills, leave me money for food, then she would go to her boyfriend's house for the week.
- I was the object of everyboy's ridicule because I've always been one of the smarter kids, my hair was always cut like a boys until my Sophomore year and I gained a lot of weight after I started taking meds. The names: freak, lesbo (even though I'm straight) and big bitch were things I'd hear on an almost daily basis.

On top of all of that, I was a late bloomer when it came to growing into my looks, which I've just done in the last year.

Erections can be uncomforatble, its like straining at the leash sometimes, and also embarassing, but I sure dont envy the periods.

Cant imagine anyone liking their periods, but believe me we like our boners.
