This is copied from my thread at AppleInsider, mostly an audience of adults, so thats why I was trying to sound professional xD

Hello,

Let me first give a little info about my iPod touch. I have taken care of this thing like it is my child. Never dropped, never lent to someone, heck, I use a second iPod I have for things like taking it in the car, or on my go cart. I never do anything "risky" at all.

As a side note, I've had it since April 2nd, 2008. If that matters.

Recently, I have found a "stuck" or "dead" pixel. Ouch. I was wondering, would this be covered by the one year warranty from Apple? If so, heres the kicker, I bought it at a Wal*Mart. Would it still be covered by the warranty? Also, could I get my money back, instead of a new iPod? Because if so... That would fit nicely in my fund for an iPhone

Thanks everyone,
Brandon

Did you have apple care? They will send you a new iPod if you send yours back, and then you can sell it new in box on ebay for a little less than you bought it for

I doubt it if he bought it at Wal Mart. They wouldn't do anything about my sister's laptop. They said it needs to have a lot of them, so you might be out of luck with your iPod screen until more die.

Hmmm. Well, Apple is normally good about costumer support. I'm going to Indianapolis to visit my grandparents, and my grandpa is taking my to the Apple Store, so I will talk to them about it there. I'll keep you guys updated.

I have the protection plan from Wally World when I got my nano. I don't think you'll get your money back. You could try and refund it for a new one but it's more than likely not to happen

This is the first thread i see that has nothing to do with sex haha.
I would suggest going to an apple store to see what they say, because that is definitely a factory defect (it would be pretty hard to bust just one pixel on purpose).

but then again, walmart isn't the nicest place with customer service.
