Okay, so you know how when you cry, it is kind of hard to swallow?
I have a lump, on the top of my tongue, at the very back(where you can't see it)..like kind of leading into the throat.

I've smoked three times. First time being February, last time being April. I noticed it last night. I doubt it's from drinking or smoking, because I'm too young for both.

I'm awfully scared of it being cancer,a nd I've been broken down crying for the past three hours. I'm going to tell my parents tomorrow. My sister is getting married in three days, and my other sister is going to college this fall. Something inbetween like this possibly being cancer just can't go. Plus, my parents could go into debt because the college is so expensive. I'm miserable, depressed, and I'm very, very scared. I can't die now, I just can't!

Help..

OMG, Thomas! You do NOT, no way!, have cancer! Golly, gee whiz!

What you MIGHT have is a bit of worry about all those other things that are about to happen, like a sister's wedding, and another going off to college. Those are pretty major events, and maybe you're feeling a sense of anxiety and loss over them? Maybe that's the real worry here, and the normal bumps on the back of your tongue are just the target/distraction? The real 'Viola' here is your sense of loss over these 2 major changes, and the anxiety that accompanies the thought of whta it might be like?

Try talking about your feelings with your sisters, I bet you have quite a few of them. See if your worries about cancer don't go away (I bet they will), when you address the more immediate issues.

It seems to me that you are putting all of these events before your own happiness, you need to just sit down and think about yourself for a little while and try and figure out what makes you happy. Also your losing 2 sisters so of course your going to be feeling stressed about it and as Sam said this could be causing these cancerous feelings.

Thomas, cancer isn't really something that just pops up, in this case mouth cancer, its really hard to just get. You probably only get it from tobacco abuse, which really isnt a real thing. Still your fine, its probably swelling, happens alot, to some certain people it could be things like pineapple that makes their tongues swell.
