I think that if we had diary managers like govteen that it would be better for the admins so that they can focus on other things.
Anyone else up for this idea?

It sounds good. Basically forum moderators for diaries.

No. Each diary has an owner. I have my own diary which me and Johnny (aka Jupiter Love) manage.
Diary managers will help change the member forums name and description or delete it. Admins can add these to. I just made the suggestion so that the admins have some work taken off their shoulders.

Oh, ok. That makes a little more sense.

This is something we looked into a while ago and decided against it. Mainly because we don't have any problems with them. And if there are you just report it and an admin or global mod can sort it. There's no need for any extra people to do it.

Also, wouldn't giving more people access to changing properties like names, adding forums, etc. require access to the admin CP? More people having those powers means more chance for something to go wrong.

True. I don't know much about how GT has it set up but basically the only way that I can imagine how that would be set up will be if they gave the managers Admin CP access. After that there really isn't an easy way to limit that...well...possibly but when I was an admin at CT I never saw any way to edit that. So basically it would be kind of stupid to do that. So it is fine how it is. 3 admins can get it done easy.

Exactly, Alex is on it basically every day. All the times I've posted a request for something, Alex, or Francis in one case, had it done the very next day.

GovTeen has a custom built diarycp made by khat. so the diary managers can change them with out having full acp access.

That makes sense now. That sounds kinda cool though. I admire people that are like...technologically capable.\
Well technologically capable in the computer sense...

Getting a diary is not an instant service. Personally I wait a period before I action any request with diaries, simply because I don't want people to think on a whim they can request a diary and its suddenly there. It is a pain having constant changes.
I don't see a reason for us to have Diary Managers. We are doing ok.

the admins are not busy enough to have a need for a feature like this.
