I have a bit of a bizare problem. Most people who have a problem with foreskin have it too tight. Mines is only to tight when I'm hard. I can get it down but i can't get it all the way back without an effort. What is the problem, is circumsizion required?

It could be phimosis. I would recommend seeing a doctor. But first try to pull it back a bit.

When you get an erection just pull it back little by little. Do this for about a week or so and if you still have this problem then go to the doctor about it. I'm not sure if getting cut will help solve the problem because it can be tight when you are cut.

that isn't such a strange problem, because at least you can retract sometimes! that's several times better than other people's boats

but unfortunately I don't know how you can correct this. Wait for more replies, and try bringing it up with a doctor so you can get rid of this annoying problem!

you should slowly pull it back and let it stretch but if it hurts too bad see a doctor

Well, remember that 50% of all 15 y/o's have some retraction issue, so what you've got isn't 'bizarre' at all, it's rather common.

When your penis gets hard, it expands, so it would be more difficult to retract. And, with the shape of the head, the widest part is at the bottom/base, where it attaches to the shaft. So, it's not surprising that you can get it down but then have difficulty pulling it forward.

The problem here is that if it gets stuck behind the head, it can constrict the blood flow to the head, which can be dangerous. So, if you cannot get it comfortably pushed forward, don't roll it back all the way, stop before you get there. You need to spend a bit more time stretching before you can accomplish this.

It goes back without a problem when im not hard it's only when im hard that i have problems. I can still masterbate but i cant pull it right back when im keeping a rytheme. pulling it right back requires effort.

Yes, I understand. Be careful when you pull it back b/c you can get it stuck there (see: Paraphimosis). Until you complete stretching it, I would advise you change your technique to avoid complete retraction, as it can get stuck.

You're not going to get paraphimosis if you can pull it back fine flaccid. If you have a problem when you're hard with it getting stuck, just lose your erection. That's really not a risk you're running. Paraphimosis is extremely rare anyway.

This is also not phimosis. It's just a tight foreskin, not uncommon at your age, and not requiring a doctor's visit. Stretch it outwards when you're flaccid. The more it's stretched (from masturbation or just in the shower), the looser it will get. But really, if it isn't causing problems, there's nothing clinically wrong with you, so it's not a rush.

My answer here is correct. If you retract it when you are erect and it gets stuck, there's an increased probability that you will constrict the blood flow, which will result in your inability to roll it forward, as the head will swell. Even if you lose your erection. This is paraphimosis, and regardless of how rare it might be, you would have it.

Again, you'd be wise to not roll it all the way back until you have successfully stretched it.

Correct, maybe, but misleading about the risks involved. Paraphimosis is the clinical inability to retract your foreskin for several hours, which causes blood to pool (1 (http://www.emedicine.com/MED/topic2874.htm),2 (http://familydoctor.org/online/famdocen/home/men/reproductive/646.html),3 (http://www.cirp.org/library/treatment/paraphimosis/),4 (http://www.urologychannel.com/emergencies/paraphimosis.shtml)). Obviously, unless he couldn't lose his erection for several hours, someone who can retract their foreskin fine when flaccid is at no risk for damage from paraphimosis.

"Paraphimosis" may also be used to refer to the foreskin getting stuck behind the glans when erect, but if just losing the erection fixes the problem, it can't present long enough to do any damage. Thus it's not worth freaking out over.
