US Lawmakers are trying to pass a law to compleatly ban Junk food in public schools. Do you agree?

I say no. Please, by all means, give us healthy choises(cuz there isnt that many. Just about everything is fried or sugar laden) but if some stupid kid wants to shove 5 choco chip cookies down his throat, then be my guest.

People need to start having more common sense rather then having options forced onto them. If you want to eat 5 cookies as opposed to one or a nutricious fruit bar, not my problem, you're only fucking yourself. You see, by forcing such options people lose their reasoning ability, which I think is important.

So let people make their own choices, it has no bearing on the grand scheme of things, just their personal issues which they need to address themselves, not us. Leave the sugar encrusted heart-attack inducing treats as far as I'm concerned.

There is nothing wrong with a candy bar every once in a while, its when you over indulge. Its self control, not total control we need.

thats where i would disagree wit you if we can offer kids a healthy only option in their school shops they will have no other choice but to take it, and they will get used to it and it will become part of their lifestyle, however id u give them both options most kids will go for unhealthy one becasue they are kids and like sweets better than fruit. and since kids spend most of their time in school at least we can be garunteed that they are eating healthy there.

its a horriable idea! see lets skip the shit about the food a bunch of kids are going to be thinking there freedom is being takin away as they grow up, some of these kids get into government they will remove a few laws and fuck the whole thing up.....i say leave it how it is, if you want your kid to be so healthy have them join a private school, or lower prices on fruit i know at my school the fruit is more expensive then a candy bar..... i dont eat school food my mommy still makes my lunch :-p! so i get my little apple a day......but i think it will cause bigger problems than we predict....

also who wants to hear kids bitching all day every day about food

In my school (In England) They are slowely making the change, fizzy drinks are not sold anymore and anyone caught with one has it confiscated :| Also there is less Junk Food on sale now and they are slowely lowering it. I say it should be our choice.

well they should limit the amount of junk sold. for example (yes i no im not in the states), our school shop ONLY sells sweets, fizzy drinks, crisps ect. But then they have teachers teaching us about nutirion, ect. its all shit! i have to bring in my lunch from home, to make sure im having something that is healty, cos thats how i like things nowadays. It was only this week the school has been selling milk

What i think, they should stock less junk, dont stop selling, and have a wider varity of healtier snacks, and even those subsitiutes for junk, like bars that are healty for you, or even those yummie dried bannana chips (i had them today and people who had some of them loved them!)

the obisity of america speaks for itselfIt says how rediculously gluttonous people are. No restraint in society. That's a damn shame, and if this problem were to ecer be fixed in teh long run, it has nothing to do with forcing choicing (thats for rehab) its about letting people know, have them aware of the choices, let them know the benefits of it.
