In my sex ed class the teacher told us about what usually happens befor a period starts. I have the two main ones... 1.Vagina producing a whitish discharge, and 2. hair. I have both of those but im flat at the moment. Like im barely past the breast bud stage. And im just wondering.... Could i get my period soon? and If i did would my breasts grow afetrwards? and is it normal to go in that way. like not normal but does it happen?

And one mroe thing...Does masturbating speed up the period. Because i didnt think so but my friend seemed to.

ya you are probably haviing your period soon. but dont worry about it. your breasts will grow in soon enough. and finally mastubation DOES NOT speed up having your period and i suggest not listening to your friends to much about sexual stuff. that is why we are here. hope i helpped!!!

you could get your period soon, especially if you are getting discharge. but an important thing to remember is that everyone is different and that the order that things happen for everyone is different. also, masturbating a lot will probably give you a lot of plessure, but won't speed up your period.

It sounds fairly likely that your periods will start soon. Your breasts can start growing anytime, there's no set order in which things will happen. Some people can grow breasts 2 or 3 years before their frist period while others get their period 2 or 3 years before their brests start growing. It's different for everyone, you just have to wait for puberty to take its course. Furthermore, like others montioned, masturbations doesn't affect your period or anything to do with puberty.

You're only 13, so you could potentially get your period as far off as 3 years from now. From the signs you described though, it's probably going to be relatively soon (like in the next year). Your breasts may or may not continue to develop until after you start your period, and either way it's normal. I don't know what made your friend think masturbation will speed things up, but it won't. If you want to masturbate, it's fine, but don't do it just because you're hoping for your period.
