hi im new to this but im going to ask a question is it normal to have an erection when you wake up?

yes its normal. in fact its normal for a teenage guy to get random erections at anytime. morning erections are usually the result of a sex related dream that you may or may not remember. basically its totally normal and nothing to worry about.

Perfectly normal for most. Some people are fortunate to avoid that slightly awkward morning "wood" but most men have that especially during puberty.

Yeah it is a very normal experience, especially if you have a need to urinate in the morning. Most teenage boys will often wake up with an erection, even if they hadn't dreamt of anything sexual, and as fourseasons pointed out, are also prone to getting "random erections."

Yea, its common for a teenager to wake up with an erection reffered sometimes as morning wood.

Yes, this is normal. As some one has pointed out even when you DON'T have a sexual dream you will have one because you have to pee.. That happens to me EVERY SINGLE morning.
