alright, as some of you know, there is a debate if you are considered a jew if your family was jewish, well jews say if you dont practice jewdaism (sorry dont know if thats how to spell it) you arent jewish, and iiiiiiiii really dont have a religon, but my great grandma was jewish so does that make me jewish?, i have always said no because its a religon but not a nationallity but others say diffrently.....what do you guys think? :?:

Ok, when it comes to Jews you are only really Jewish if your mother is Jewish. If she isn't then you aren't automattically a Jew. You can become a Jew, but you don't have to.
Judaism is a religion and if you decide that you don't want to be a part of it then that's your choice. No one can say "you have Jewish roots, therefore you must follow the Jewish religion".

What ever religion you practice, thats what you are. That kind of stuff does not hand down like your nationalities. If you want to practice Buddism, then you can call your self buddist, even tho your mom and dad were christen.
I just think that religion should get passed down like that. Like I am an athiest, but my mom and dad are christen. But I would not consider myself, or my kids (when i have them) christen.

if you have jewish blood in your family but you don't pratice the religion then that makes you hebrew. stright up.

I'm a jew, for those of you who don't know. And Let me tell you stright up....If you have german blood in you, you are german in part. If you have jewish blood in you, then you are jewish in part. If your german grandpa was christian, that dosnt make you christian, just german, if you hebrew grandpa was jewish, that doensnt make you jewish, just hebrew. the nationality of israel is Hebrew, the religion is Judaism. yes you can convert to judaism, even though I don't really understand that, The jews consider themselves Gods chosen people, but to convert dosnt make you Hebrew so that confuses me. Anyway, I pratice judaism, and buddhism. I'm angry and passive lol
