"Making" you take them? As in force you? Nah.
If you've got pimples, the type of acne that responds to meds, what would be the problem? The pills will clear up the zits and leave you your old handsome self!

Hell I'd take them lol. My brother has like a buncha acne stuff because he has a lot and he gave me some to use but I'm to lazy to put it on day and night lol. If all I had to do was take a pill to get rid of my acne *takes pill out of Darthrage's hand and swollows it* hell I'd do it :D so much faster.

Its not that simple and you don't get pills easily..
+ You need to use them for 6 months usually or more and they have a million side effects

i take acne meds, I dont have terrible acne but i try to keep any acne off my face, they havent worked that great despite the fact i dont eat much sugar. I think my constant intake of creatine products may be responsible though.

I take pills for acne, but I don't think the pills would work by themselves, I also use topical creams and wash my face in the morning and at night with special stuff and it gets annoying, but I've kind of worked it into my daily routine... There are results when I stay consistent, but even one day of forgetting to put stuff on my face or forgetting to take my pill seems to cause me to breakout...

Yeah, I know what you mean. I tried to keep on using Pro-Activ and I was able to do it for like 2 weeks until the weekend and just for those 2 days, I started to break out :(
Luckily I found a simpler way of cleaning my face and helping with my acne which doesn't cost anything except for maybe water from the shower ^^

Ya The stuff I use is cheap compared to those big products that are on like tv.

The pills basically shrink your pores ( or however you spell it :P ) meaning less ''dirt'' can get in and less pimples can form. And the real stuff always shows some results unless your one of the 1% of people with acne that is well horrific

Well my acne went down and it wasn't horrific. I still have to use face washes for cleaning and purging my face and back of acne.

I went to the doc about it quite recently. Mines mild-moderate (it would be mild but it's on my shoulders and back too) and he give me Erythromycin tablets and Retin-A gel - the gel dries out my skin waaay too much!
Instructions: First 2 weeks, pills four times a day. Then only twice a day, until 2 months course is completed. The gel was supposed to be used twice a day until gone, but I use it once a week, if that.

Acne and sugar don't have the relationship they are portrayed to have.
Acne isn't so much caused by a large sugar intake - it is bacterial, and can be also caused by a build up of dirt and oil, resulting in pimples.
I have a small amount of acne too, occasionally on my face, and some on my shoulders, not much, it would be mild at most. But no cream I have EVER used has worked, and it is a bit disconcerting for me, as I'm 17 now.
Creams that dry out your skin alot shouldn't be continued to be used in my opinion, unless used in conjunction with a moisturiser. Dry skin isn't healthy skin, and even if it helps to literally dry out the acne, your skin is left a dead, crumbly, hard surface, less attractive than a few red spots, and alot less comfortable.
I've never tried pills, and if they worked, without many serious side effects (something very rare in pills) then maybe thats the way to go, but if you are going to use cream, make sure it doesn't kill your skin so much as your acne.
Acne is also very hormonal, so often it will go away towards the end of puberty. Some claim that sunlight is good for acne; some say sweat is bad for it, as it builds up oil and dirt. Its a constant balancing act, but with a bit of luck, once your raging hormones stop ... raging ... You will be back to your flashy self!!
Best of luck!!

I wouldn't take antibiotics to get rid of your acne.
I used to take Tetracycline a year ago for my acne and I learnt that it made me dizzy and such because I was becoming malnourished due to die off of important intestinal flora.
Some pills can cause some serious side effects as well, but they do give you a temporary self esteem boost due to clearer skin.
I started off with pills when I first went to a derma. but then I didn't like taking them because 1) they weren't working very well 2) I hate taking pills.
I asked for a topical cream "BenzaClin" worked magic :)
All I had to do is apply it at night.

I don't think anything really works. I bought some really strong face wash. It was like terrible at first because my face had like huge reaction to it and my skin was peeling off and all red like I'm drunk or something. It worked for a while but now it slowed down again. Acne fades when you reach certain stage of puberty so no worries. Just don't pop them because it's gross, hurts, and you'll have scars all over your face if you do.

ughh i use to have horrible acne when i was in like 4th grade, the two i went on that i remember was a benzoyl wash that worked pretty well but then i still not satisfied was put on Accutane, which is the most powerful cure out there, you have to be on the pill and take blood tests every month, and so much other things. it was insane but i'm soo much happier with the results and with anyone suffering from severe acne and can't kick it i suggest talking to your dermatologist about it.

I'm gonna look into those two, haven't really heard of Accutane or how birth control helps. Sounds interesting I'll research those two methods and maybe rally on my findings to my friend. Or maybe I'll ask my prof.

heres info on the birthcontrol:http://www.acne-resource.org/acne-skin-care/reducing-birth-control.html
and accutane: http://www.drugs.com/accutane.html
i was so afraid to go on it, but my time wasn't as miserable as it was made to seem.
oh how could i forget the monthly pregnancy tests! still recommend it. just don't drink when you are on it.. i'm pretty sure my tolerance level went WAY down while i was on it. and i passed out and threw up everytime.

I see, thanks for the links. I'll look into these methods. They seem to have major side effects

They do, that's why they aren't for everyone, but if you take the risk, and they work, it's amazing. and most of them are just over exaggerated.

It's a fact- curing acne can never be achieved by tackling one of the many factors responsible for acne. If you've ever tried to cure your acne using one-dimensional treatments like antibiotics or even detox diets and failed it's probably because you tackled only one aspect of the disease. Not only will this system teach you the only way to prevent your acne from being formed, you will also learn through online acne treatment.
