Does anyone here have a fantasy baseball team? If you do put your roasters here and how good you are doing. Also would anyone be interested in joining a VT fantasy baseball league?

fantasy baseball is a team that you pick and then you get points based on how good your players do. usually it is done online.

Most of my friends have fantasy baseball teams, but I'm not that into watching baseball... Lately I've been obsessed with college sports, mainly basketball and football... Though I know quite a bit about college hockey, college baseball, and college lacrosse...

I'll post one of my teams. I drafted this team before regular season began, before the surprise of Josh Hamilton and before Votto, Longoria, and Bruce (these 3 guys I added during the season) had everyday playing time. I also picked up Kemp after someone else dropped him. Atkins began the week with a neck injury, so I benched him.
Starting Lineup (for this week)
C Joe Mauer
1B Joey Votto
2B Chase Utley
3B Evan Longoria
SS Jhonny Peralta
OF Jay Bruce
OF Pat Burrell
OF Josh Hamilton
P Arizona Diamondbacks
Bench
1B Travis Hafner (DL)
C AJ Pierzynski
SS Bobby Crosby
2B Kelly Johnson
3B Garrett Atkins
OF Matt Kemp
I'm playing in a weekly head-to-head league that using team pitching staffs instead of individual pitchers. This team is 7-2 in its division and is 2 games (weeks) ahead of the current 2nd place team.

What do you mean "just tried it out?" Did you just draft a team, and you're already bored? Or do you have a team that's been active for a while already?
I think it's fun. It gives me reasons to watch other baseball games on TV that I wouldn't normally watch. I can follow my guys and see them do well (hopefully). It also involves some detective-like work. Think who's heating up and start (or add) them, and who's not and bench (or drop) them. Hopefully you're right and get points for your starters and not lose out on points by having them benched (or hopefully you're right in benching someone and not lose out if he actually does well).
It also helps me that I've been a baseball fan since I was 5 or 6.

I prefer whatifsports... It's more fun, b/c the players aren't real in hardball dynasty, and sim league baseball lets you draft any baseball player from any era [depending on what league you join] and sims games based on their stats and their "skills"... It does cost money, but there are all sorts of promotional codes and things to do stuff for free... But yeah, I'm not all that into fantasy baseball, though I do put at least an hour a day [if not more] into hardball dynasty on WIS [whatifsports]...
