I would go to sleep or go into a quiet room which is dark. Also I would look at a screen for a while. I sleep when I have one but if you can take a advil or something like that.

First of all: grab some of the strongest over-the counter painkillers, take them, find a wheatbag (one of those things you put in the microwave and heat up for a few mins), heat and place it at the back of your neck, this'll help release some of the tension in the muscles in your neck and skull base.
Apart from that, all you can really do is draw the curtains in your room, and lay down and either sleep or rest.
Hope you're feeling better soon. :)

Strong licorice root tea is often a very effective herbal remedy. The only way to really get rid of a migraine is to sleep it off, though.

That's normal. You'll be sensitive for a while. Just try to avoid things that aggravate it.

I know people that get migraines almost daily; migraines that cause them to throw up because of the pain and pass out.
You'll be fine - just avoid things that will give you a headache and take a dose of aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil) recommended on the bottle.
