I hate it when people say weight doesn't affect puberty at all...IT DOES. I myself is not fat, but have some weight..and, im going really slowly through it..i think the fat tissues block/slow down the growth hormones...
First you say it does affect weight, but then you say "i think". Which is it?

A lot of people say yes, and a lot of people say no
Its true that when you are overweight, you are more susceptible to many diseases, because the fat can compress certain parts of your body (however small they may be), and cause the body to do something it's not supposed to, such as snoring - you're more likely to snore if you are overweight
Also, much of what comes with being overweight is poor diet, which can affect growth. If you have a poor diet and eat junk food primarily, you may not grow as much as you could of if you have a better diet, with protein, calcium, vitamins, minerals, etc.
So really, in turn, it's quite possible that a leaner person could grow more than an overweight person, just because of the difference of how they eat.

I don't think weight is a direct influence on puberty.
Brian, you might just be slow to go through puberty anyways, everyone progresses at different rates.
However, as Flex has mentioned, being overweight may make you susceptible to more diseases, and conditions, some might affect how you grow, etc etc.
