I think getting her something would be a good thing to do. Is there a reason you think she might react badly? I think most girls would be happy to get a promise ring or something like that so show how much you like her.

I see. I think she would appreciate that. A week might be a little too short of a time to make that kind of statement, but since she's coming soon, I suppose it could be appropriate. How often does she come? If you don't have to wait too long, I think I'd wait a little while longer before giving her this gift.

Well in that case, I guess you should probably give her the gift. I don't see any reason why she wouldn't like it.

You're 14 and she's 18? Do I have this right?
Listen, 18 year olds don't necessarily like Teddy Bears, and I'd question why you, at 14, are attracted to an 18 year old. There's a huge diff between your needs here, I'd strongly suggest that if you must stay in touch, that you keep it online.
People of different ages can relate to eachother, but when the differences in age are that much, it's best top respect certain boundaries, lest someone (most probably you) get hurt.

I disagree, ok meeting on the Internet isn't such a good thing in this case, but love can be a powerful thing it doesn't matter about the age difference.
I do however think that having a relationship with someone outside of, let's say, 5 years either way, should be carefully thought through and make sure you know her well.

I'm going to put it very bluntly to you..
The odds of ''love'' at teenage age is about 1 against 100 million in my eyes.
Now if you think at it logicly why would a guy date an older girl?
Why would a girl date an older guy? Because their naive and foolish and easily manipulated..
Now answering why the guy would want to date the older girl is pretty simple.
But in general he never asked should he be in the relationship.. So all in all irrelevant

Duely noted.
Am I supposed to have that feeling you get when you've just been told off by a teacher?

promise rings are for when your in love, and plan on being together and getting married some day (technically thats what they are)
if you want to get her a gift give her a normal ring.
