My boyfriend and I have been coming closer and closer towards sex in the past months. He knows that I want to have sex with him, and he has the same feelings. I want to be repsonsible and go to a clinic, but I'm kind of embarassed. Both to talk to him about seeing someone and about going there in the first place.

I have a few more questions. . .

How long should you use birth control before having sex?

and what type of condom is best?

I imagine a week at least, a month at most.
Depends on the brand you are given.
Just ask when you get birth control and they will tell you.

In britain you know if a condom is good if it has the 'British standard' symbol on it, then you know that it's good. Do they have one in america and other countries?
