Does anyone know about a free forum host, that allows you to transfer your existing domain to their hosting?

Thanks :)

I think that vbulletin does. I think if it's only if you run on phpBB.

Oh, sorry. I thought he ment where they host the forum, and it's their forum, not something you upload to a server type thing, but they allow you to use your own domain.

Are you talking about moving your data from a free forum service (like Forumer) and moving it to another one? I'm not sure how easy they will be to find, but you'll need to be able to have full database backups done so you can port them over to another service that will let you restore database backups, keeping your data intact.

What I'd do is find a free host with PHP files allowed and a MySQL database, and set it up alone without relying on a service, so if you ever need to move, you'll have the files and the database to take with you.

There are some free webhosts that let you use a domain instead of one of their subdomains as a web address. Find one that gives the domain option, and again, still look for MySQL (or even PostgreSQL) databases and PHP so you have the ability to run forums. Some free webhosts might have a script in the control panel that will install forums for you, or you can download a script, upload the files to your site, and install it by yourself.
